Review summary

This would be a great cruise to introduce someone to cruising as we often couldn't tell we were on the water due to the slow speeds from port to port, etc. NCL needs to work on their food however, nothing ever stood out in the complementary dining venues, really need to pay for specialty dining to enjoy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining was so/so, nothing impressive. Specialty dining much better, really enjoyed the Mexican one.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pool was uncrowded & nice. They had an impressive kids pool area, though we had no kids with us.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedian/musician, Harry O, was really good. The dance troop was just ok.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our steward, butler, etc were really good. In general staff seemed pleasant.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout was pretty simple, similar to othe NCL we have been on. Some of the windows seemed dirty or with broken seals, they could do better on those.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We ended up with an upgrade to a Suite, rather then balcony, #12510 is correct room #; good sized, comfortable, good storage. Only complaint was 1 panel of the wall of windows had a bad deal so was an obstructed view. The extra treatment with Suite status is great, especially having breakfast & lunch upstairs designated for Suite guests only since the food elsewhere isn't anything to write home about.

Ship tip

Make reservations for dining ahead of time or could end up in lines waiting for a yable.
