Review summary
Left out of New Orleans. Last minute cruise. Room 4573. First time on a lower level. Very surprised at how quiet the room was. It was a guarantee and I was afraid we were going to get a room at the front of the ship, but we ended up with midship. Also, it was near a service area and I was afraid of prep noise from the crew, but it was a quiet room! Kinda nice too, it was off the main strip of rooms, so it was private.
Overall the cruise was good. I wish there were more dance opportunities. Some of the music played by the band in the Spinnaker just wasn't inspired enough, or no crew to get the guests riled up to dance! Once the band was playing and the house lights were too bright and only a couple of people got up to dance. Nobody wants to dance with the lights up! Also, one night they had things going on here and there, but then a large lapse of time between the next band or entertainment, so ended up too late. By that time people just weren't out and about. On the Caribbean Dance night out by the pool, the assistant cruise director and helper were dancing but nobody was dancing. Not sure how to fix that. It could have just been the particular crowd on this cruise. Also kinda disappointed that Richard, (wonderful cruise director) didn't wear the angel wings on the White Hot Party Night, but maybe it is too cheesy, but I just love the WHP, and like seeing the crew walking around in those amazing over the top wings!
