Review summary

Just returned from ten days on the Norwegian (NCL) Dawn and all we can say is that the experience was "beyond words". Although this was our first cruise, we have traveled extensively and we were completely impressed and satisfied with this experience. The staff are courteous and continually exercise the crew goal program which they address as "Style". We certainly felt like we were traveling in just that manner. Our every whim and desire was enjoyably antipated and provided to complete satisfaction. I was very impressed when a meal was delivered to our table and my guest had barely noticed that the main entree was not cooked quite the way she desired. Before I could request assistance, a Mait're-de was already inquiring if there was a problem with the meal. He quickly removed the plate and then returned it, cooked to perfection, along with his sincerest apologies. We encountered this type of performance and attention to detail throughout the cruise. We are sold!!!! This may have been our first cruise, but it will definately not be our last. NCL did a superb job.

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

3 out of 5
"Downtown" was absolutely precious. It consist of many small hut type buildings with a smorgasboard of desirable articles.
Don't Miss: Downtown, with the local "rooster" population.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Make sure you visit the French side of the island
Don't Miss: Orient beach is a must see. Don't miss it.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Walk the perimeter of Old Town and venture into the preserved historic forts for a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
Don't Miss: Stop in at Sen'or Frog's near the casino.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

1 out of 5
This port was replaced by Samana, Dominican Republic which we were very disappointed with. We returned to the ship in less than 1 hour.
