Review summary

Wonderful way to spend the week; go with the flow!

Embarkation

I always chuckle at the organized chaos getting from the port to the ship. Everyone tends to be optimistic and excited. NCL staff did a great job. The NCL onboarding process (starting at home) has redundancies that I wish would be addressed and resolved.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
If you are remotely interested in a specialty restaurant book ASAP. It was tough for us to find a reservation (we tried on the second day). The Garden Buffet exceeded our expectations. And yes - one more comment about the enthusiasm around washing hands! :)

Onboard Activities

Those water slides are deceptively fast! And fun! First time I ever did a ropes corse 17 stories above the Ocean. Arcade was well maintained. Like others - I’ll say the hot tubs seemed to be at capacity all the time.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Burn The Floor was great! Rumors put on a fantastic show! Other musicians on the ship were average at best. We didn’t find the comedians very funny.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 12-year-old looked forward to spending time at “Splash Academy “. That’s quite the compliment! He had a great time and the staff really know their stuff.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Courteous, kind, hospitable. Great team on the ship, and full of smiles.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Jogging track is there but not really functional. The whiskey bar (which normally becomes “my place”) was too open and didn’t have the character I expected from a place like that. O’Sheehans was too crowded due to location on the ship for us to enjoy. However - ship was clean and cared for.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Biggest bathroom I’ve had on a ship! Plenty of hot water and water pressure! GREAT views off our Balcony.

Ship tip

Make reservations for all the things as early as possible!!!

Just put on your patience pants, keep a smile on your face and follow the instructions. They have a great process for turning over the ship.
