It was an ok cruise. Just ok. 2nd time on breakaway. Not sure would do it again.

Embarkation

This was our 2nd cruise on the Breakaway out of NOLA. Embarkation was much better this cruise. 10:30 check in time on board around 11:00 ish?

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food was ok. Desserts not so much. MDR had long lines a couple of nights. Cagneys was just ok. Not great. Don’t get seafood at a steakhouse. Got the seafood plate. Overcooked. Sides not great. Labistro was great!

Was adequate. Don’t get seafood at a steakhouse. Fish was overcooked. Sides were just ok. Atmosphere was nice. Service was good.

The service was fine. Crew did not seem happy. Forced smiles. Very understaffed.

Ship was very clean. Pool area very crowded. Only one pool. Ship felt congested in general.

No complaints. Nice bathroom. Big balcony. 2 lounge chairs. 2 regular chairs with a small table.

Ship tip

Be kind to the crew. Understaffed & overworked.

Went to the beach. Umbrellas first come first serve. NOT enough umbrellas. Rented a clamshell. $45. Bar expensive. $6 for a cup of beer. Automatic 20% gratuity. 12.5% tax. That was at the walk up bar. No waiters.

Disembarkation

Not bad. We were walking off with our luggage. Disembarkation started about 7:00. We were on the 11th floor. Aft. We carried our luggage down to deck 9 no problem. At deck 9 they would not let us use the stairs. By then elevator was extremely crowded. Needed to have the stairs blocked on all decks and we would have known to take elevator initially and avoided as much congestion on deck 9. Only forward elevators in service.
