Review summary

A wonderful cruise itinerary! Bermudians are courteous and very happy to see visitors again. Worth the extra steps (covid testing, etc) required for visit!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Despite having to test (rapid test and PCR) prior to getting on board, NCL handled this very efficiently. We received our antigens (rapid test) within 35 minutes and proceed from the pier terminal next to Pier 88 in NYC to the check-in process. Started at 9:30 am; on board by 11:15 am (approx.)

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
NCL has stepped up its game when it comes to all the dining--specialty and complimentary. Food was plentiful (on the buffet) and delicious all the way around.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the Vibe Beach Club (additional charge), mainly because the ship was only at 38% capacity!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent! "Burn the Floor," and "Six" were very entertaining! Must check out the band at Syd Norman's Pour House! They rocked the house every night they performed!! Great sets and themes--i.e., they had "Prom Night"--80's music and a salute to Fleetwood Mac's album "Rumors." Not only entertaining but informative!!

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our experience is always very positive when it comes to staff on NCL! They are so happy to be back at work!! It shows in the level of service!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean; felt very safe (re: covid).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Clean, well appointed...no complaints--very much like all the other ships in the fleet.

Ship tip

Pack your patience! Everyone is trying to do the best they can in a new situation (i.e., covid protections). Well worth the extra effort if you can cruise in the coming months when the ships are less than full capacity. Do not forget to take in Syd Norman's Pour House and Howl at the Moon (dueling piano bar)...great entertainment!

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
Always love New York! Saw three Broadway shows the day before sailing!

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Wonderful! This is our favorite warm-weather spot (except for Hawaii which is in a different league as a cruise location).

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
A little delayed but still easy. No drama!
