Review summary

Had a really great trip after a long time away.The ship was very nice and the staff were great.We love the fact that the ship only had 1482 guest on board.So I’m sure that why we had a great time on board.Really not sure how I’d like it if the ship was full.Just being honest. Don’t know if I’d board a large ship again.

Embarkation

Had to be tested before boarding.Got to terminal early so that went smoothly.Only problem was we where the first group to go though security and receive a boarding pas #41 .When they started board the started with 1 and when I ask we where let on the ship.So to paid to speak up.

Food and Dining

The drinks where great.Food at the steakhouse was very good Really didn’t need to pay for the up charge for crab cake no worth it.The French Restaurant was good food portions where small.The buffet had a good selection of food and was always freaky looking.The food in the main dining rooms where ok no interesting selection a lot of chicken and fish.

Onboard Activities

The spa was great. Outdoor pool was ok.but if the ship was full I think that area would be very crowded.We didn’t really do any of the activities.

Entertainment

We didn’t Like most of the stage show.Six was not our kind of show but other people loved it.Catherine other shows where ok.The show at the pour house and Headlines where very good.

Service and Staff

Everyone from the steward bartenders and front of the house staff did a great day.

Ship Quality

The ship was very clean and well maintained.The lay out was ok The restaurant by the casino smell from the smoke Would have like the casino non smoking and not in the middle of the ship and so opened more smoke filters.The pool area is very tight not many chairs out in the sun around the pool.If ship was full this would have been a big problem area.

Cabin / Stateroom

They called it a suite but it was the smallest cabin we had with a balcony.The bathroom was nice and large with a very nice shower.The room was alway clean and well maintained.

Ship tip

We had a great time on the ship.But I don’t know if the ship was full we would have enjoyed it a much.We do like small ships.

I agree with what you say about if it was at full capacity, it definitely gets crowded, that’s one advantage the small ships have over the larger ones. They ad more cabins bit many of the common spaces are no larger, that is a primary reason that we do the Haven, especially on the larger ships. Glad you had a good vacation!

Since your preference is for smaller ships, it's great that you were able to really enjoy cruising on a larger ship while the capacity is low.
