Review summary

We really enjoyed our cruise. Our experience with Norwegian and will book again. I am still upset about the towel animals and was disappointed that there were no Christmas decorations the first week of December. The service was good but the service on the smaller ships was great, much more personal and consistent.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Best ever - there was no wait time at all. We walked up, checked in, received our room keys and walked on. The women who checked us in was very helpful and pleasant.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food on the ship was very good. The service in the specialty restaurants was much better than the service in the main dining rooms. The bartenders were excellent even though they were under staffed. The selection of food and drink was very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We used the fitness center, the ropes course, pool slides and ping pong tables - we enjoyed these activities greatly. We also attended the trivia sessions, some lectures and other organized activities - had a great time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Went to the comedian show and Howl at the Moon - really enjoyed both. Getting reservations to the other shows was limited partially due to the small venues.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service at the specialty restaurants was exceptional, the main dining room service was great one night and marginal the next. Our cabin steward was nothing to write home about - we are not demanding at all, as long as the room is cleaned daily we are good. We asked for ice in our cups we brought onboard in the evening and he only managed to do it 2 nights during our stay. We were very disappointed that there were no towel animals. The bartenders were great even though they are under staffed - they worked very hard to take care of everyone but it was apparent they could use extra help. The activity staff were capable, knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is clean, it is evident they take cleanliness seriously. I over the water front design but found the pool deck very cramped. I am not a smoker and am always unhappy with the smoke from the casino drifting into other areas - Le Bistro had a dining area ‘outside’ but the proximity to the casino made it unusable for non-smokers.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin suited our needs and wants.

Ship tip

Book any shows and diners prior to the cruise - the venues are small and are filled quickly.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

We live in Florida

Tortola, British Virgin Islands Did not visit port

We actually enjoy being on the ship when everyone is off

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Being docked made getting on and off easy. We did an excursion to the coral world - transportation to and from was efficient and organized. We felt safe and welcomed on the island.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Do not like tendering - we have been to the private island in Belize and loved being docked, you can come and go on your own schedule.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The fastest and easiest of the cruises we have been on. Excellent experience.

Thanks for the review. What time did you get to the shop for embarkation? It is amazing how much fun a folded towel can be.
