I thoroughly enjoyed the excursions I chose. And that's the main part of my cruises. Food and buffets are always good on these ships and other than 1 bad meal experience, I enjoyed the Norwegian ship. It's a huge ship so you can pick and chose what fits your agenda. I will be sailing Norwegian again but probably not to western Caribbean. Been there twice now.

Everything was good with the exception of the Italian specialty restaurant. Worst service I've ever had and was disappointed the ship did not correct the situation and charged me for a meal never served by an incompetent waiter.
Steak Restaurant is the best I've had in recent years.

Service was disgustingly poor. Worst service I've ever had in a Restaurant. I was scammed for a meal that waiter forgot the entree and the dessert. Pathetically run restaurant that should embarrass Norwegian.

Some activities were good but others were not well planned. Kids dominate the pool area. I mostly stayed in casino.

Stage shows and comedians were awful (Rock of Ages is like a high school play) However the dueling pianos was best show I've seen on a ship. Went to it 3 times.

Service excellent except 1 waiter and an ill-trained boss in the Italian restaurant. Worst experience I've ever had at a Restaurant. Norwegian should be embarrassed.

If you buy the specialty meals program, the wait staff has no incentive to treat you good.
WHITE HOUSE Private Beach. Incredible beach front mansion with a good lunch and deck extending into the clearest water around. Snorkel and swim was enjoyable.
Maya Key Private animal preserve island was awesome. It's a very short boat ride near the Port and everything you could want. Pool swimming, Beach swimming, snorkeling, nature walks plus an incredible Animal Preserve. Jaguars and monkees and snakes, etc. The guides let you inside the Monkee cage for lots of fun. (Empty your pockets or they will...lol)
They serve a solid lunch of rice beans chicken and salad with drink.
Roatan can be a rough place but Maya Key private excursion was like Gilligans Island.
Norwegian's own Island Paradise. Beautiful beaches. Great bars and restaurants. Nice shopping venue. Awesome lagoons.
I took a nature boat out to see Manatees. Great fun and I still had hours on the beach and gorgeous pools.
This was PARADISE. I still dream of this island.
I chose giant Water Park and was mildly surprised how great this was for adults. Separate pools for kids and adults. It was great fun playing in an oversized water tube floating lazily around the whole park. I even dared to do one of the less wild water slides which I'm proud of doing Once...lol. Costa Maya is a lot if shopping and restaurants but if you want to relax, do the Water Park.
2nd time to Cozumel. Very WINDY and cool both times. I hate the Port walk.
Too commercial and annoying tourist traps.
I did an excusion to Cultural learning center which I did enjoy. Great guides and we made some Chocolate there. I do recommend it to get away from the Port.
But the Port itself is one I dont care for.
