Review summary

We have tried a couple other cruise lines in the past but prefer Norwegian by far and only book on Norwegian now!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast regardless of the long lines

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Ocean Blue was incredible from the service to the food! Moderno, Cagney's and Le Bistro all amazing as well. Savor and Taste always had great food as well and the selection on the buffets is always a hit!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Water slides, pools, hot tubs, fitness center. I found the fitness center to be small for this size of ship. Hot tubs never hot, only luke-warm.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
All shows we saw were great, especially liked the band in Syd Norman's. Didn't go to the Cirque Dreams shows as I didn't appreciate having to pay for entertainment that is usually free. I have seen other Cirque type of shows on smaller ships and never have had to pay additional.

Children's Programs

No children with us but what I saw looked great for the kids onboard

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff was exceptional particularly Romeo and Charlie (nickname) at Waves by the Poolside, CJ and Gusti at Shakers Martini Bar, and Roberto at the Atrium bar. The staff in O'Sheehans seem a bit stressed as they were not the friendliest.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always clean and well maintained. The track that goes right by the climbing wall is not the best design....too much congestion for people walking and jogging (which they do at all times of day, although most are in the morning and the climbing wall is not open at that time.)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Always clean, good size, lots of storage, small balcony. Our steward, Sweedie (spelling?) was awesome!

Ship tip

You will like one of the smaller ships better such as Jewel, Dawn or Pearl.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

Love New Orleans! Went on an airboat swamp tour.....wonderful!

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

No excursions. Hung out with Jamacian people our Canadian friends know. They showed us around and we had lots of fun!

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
No excursions. Beautiful and expensive!

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Beautiful area....much different from Trujillo that we ported at on one of our previous cruises. Toured the island with driver, Rudolph, went to an animal retreat where we got to hold monkeys, parrots and sloths....very cool! Ate at Randy's near the port and went zip-lining there....funnest zip-line we have ever done!

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
Beautiful! Went kayaking in the lagoon then took a ferry to Placencia and visited local establishments. Loved the people there!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Great port! Went snorkeling at a beautiful reef and lobster lunch by the ocean!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
What can I say!? We have been to Cozumel several times and always find something to do. This time was the XRail Adverture through the jungle in a 4 seater ATV and it was incredible! We did not book this excursion on the cruise as we were told it was sold out but we found their booth in town by the port Royal Caribbean was at and were able to book with no problem. Requested our $50 excursion credit with customer service on the ship but did not receive the credit.

Disembarkation

We walked off this time to catch an early flight.....very fast and easy!
