We had a great time overall. I just feel that, with this being the most expensive of our 4 cruises, things should have gone a lot smoother than they did. Maybe they were understaffed or undertrained. Maybe with it being their second sailing from a new port. I don't know, but the service, or lack thereof, was very poor. We both agreed by the second day of our trip that we would be returning to the other cruise brand were have experienced with our first 3 trips.
Embarkation

We were at the terminal, through check in, and an the ship in approx 45 mins.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the main dining rooms was acceptable, nothing to brag about. I was not impressed, especially considering the money we paid. We paid extra for the specialty dining. The steakhouse was good, bit our favorite was the Japanese hibatchi. The food and service was spot on. Otherwise, the pub couldn't get our food or drink order right, depite the many times we chose to eat there. The food was delicious, when we finally received it. The issue was either the getting all of what we ordered together at one time or even getting service at all. And we won't even mention the issue of getting an alcoholic beverage!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
We mostly stayed in our cabin when we were not walking around the ship. My husband went down 2 waterslides. It was extremely crowded. The ''extras" just seemed a little too pricey (spa, adult area, etc.).

Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Service was a let down for us. It was almost non-existent. I gave 2 stars because our stewardess, Swatstee was amazing!
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The ship was always clean but compared to the other company we have sailed with, everything was so compact. The atrium was extremely small. Some of the events were held there and there seemed to be more people having to stand due to lack of chairs.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We were pleased with our cabin. Much more room than we had expected and my favorite place on the entire ship was my Oceanview window! It was large enough that I climbed in it and watched the view while reading or listening to music.
Ship tip
It's nice to explore other options, but in my experience, I can say I've tried another cruise company and found that change is not always better.
We loved the self assist option where we carried our baggage out with us. We exited the ship at 7 am, went through customs, hailed our taxi, and we're back at our car 12 miles away by 7:28 am. That was an amazing disembarkation!
