My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on the Breakaway. His 1st cruise, my 3rd. Loved our balcony cabin, don’t think I’ll be able to go back to an inside cabin! Ship was actually less crowded and less kids than I was expecting. One morning we had breakfast at Moderno and took our plates to the tables outside, we basically had the place to ourselves. In the evening, we loved curling up in the big round lounge bed things on deck 16 forward (I think?), often no one else around. We were never bored. When we wanted quiet, we could always find it, and when we wanted to party, we could find that too

Embarkation went pretty smooth. Room was ready very soon after boarding. All suitcases were delivered to cabin by 4pm
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

MDR were excellent, never had to wait long for table or food. Some staff were really great, others just ok. Didn’t do any specialty restaurants. Would have liked to have tried Shanghai Noodle Bar but was always full no matter what time we passed by. Had a bad experience at O’Sheehan’s. Ordered nachos, came smothered in cheese sauce when I was expecting melted shredded cheese, tasted disgusting. I also ordered the Irish stew, and they never brought it. I didn’t bother saying anything because my stomach felt gross after the nachos, but couldn’t believe she kept walking past us, my boyfriend with a plate in front of him and me with nothing and she didn’t clue in the whole time. Buffet was decent enough, most of the food was luke warm, especially after walking around for 10+ minutes to get more food and find a table. We had a couple drinks, they were ok, nothing great.
Onboard Activities

Pools and hot tubs were good. They’re kind of small so get crowded quickly. Fitness centre was really nice. Spice H2o good during the day, not crowded.
Entertainment

Rock of Ages and Burn the Floor were amazing. Comedians were great. Arvin and Emily were really good. Lots of talented musicians, every kind of music you could want. At night we had an awesome time at Bliss and Spice H2o.
Service and Staff

Our room steward was excellent. Restaurant servers were mostly very good, a few were not very friendly but not rude.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was great. We loved the balcony. Cabin was a great size, and very comfortable
We had 2 days here since GSC was canceled. 1st day we walked around the touristy area, all the souvenir shops, the straw market, and went to Señor Frogs. 2nd day we ventured a little farther on our own and visited a beautiful old church and the Governor General’s residence. Also went to Junkanoo beach, it’s not a very nice beach. I went to the public beach at Atlantis on my last visit to Nassau- it’s beautiful there.
Always the least favourite part of a cruise. Lines are long, people are grouchy. We were some of the last ones off the ship, our room steward basically had to kick us out lol... we also snuck up to The Haven to check it out, it’s pretty amazing in there.
