Review summary

We traveled with a group of 27 friends. 12 adults and children. We found that there was something for everyone. We did make reservations ahead and the restaurants did a great job of accommodating such a large group.

Embarkation

It was difficult. We brought my daughters 17 year old friend with us. We called ahead because she did not have a pass port. The representative we spoke with assured us that would not be a problem that we only needed her raised seal birth certificate. When we got to the ship they then told us that we also needed a parental release form along with copy of parents license. It was eventually resolved after many phone calls, emails and texts but it was very frustrating experience that we feel could have been avoided had we been told we needed this when we called. Also, the person who actually checked us in could have handled the situation in a much more clear and efficient manor. Not a great start to the trip.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Thought the dining rooms and specialty restaurants were great. Although the buffet had a good selection it was a bit chaotic. Plates placed between two stations seemed to cause people going in every direction. We struggled a bit with the specialty dining package as it was applied to my husband and son who were "assigned" to the balcony room. Myself, being "assigned" to the inside room (per your policy) with my two daughters had regular dining.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness center was a bit over crowded as well as the pools. Kids loved the ropes course, basketball courts and mini golf. We enjoyed Deal or no Deal and Bingo but thought it seemed quite expensive to play. Especially bingo.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the Cirque show. The Wine Lovers musical was entertaining and our friends really enjoyed The Escape room. Would not recommend rate comedy show. The dueling pianos were amazing!!!

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Traveled with 15 children in our group ages 8-17 and only a few of them found them entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly and helpful on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

Size was ok. Cleanliness was not a problem at all. Lots of storage available which was great. We also had an inside room for 3 kids which was quite tight.

Ship tip

We all downloaded the Iconcierge app and payed the $10 per person fee so we would have messaging to communicate with our group. Unfortunately it was down a good part of the time...

Beautiful island. Privately charted the Restless Native catamaran and had an amazing day. Horse shoe bay beach was beautiful but crowded.
