Review summary

I was truly disappointed that we never made it to Bermuda. We paid for two balcony staterooms and saved up 2 years to take all my five children on this Cruise. All that was given back to me was Port Chargers that I had to use on the boat. They were non-refundable funds I had to use before I left the cruise or I would lose them. So I couldn't even take that money and put it to what I paid for the cruise. They took us to Florida where it was cold and rainy. Then they took us to the Bahamas. We arrived at Nassau at 3 in the afternoon not being able to leave the boat to 4 p.m. giving us a couple hours to enjoy some time by the ocean. We had to take taxis that brought us to the wrong location and we had a mile walk to get to an beach that was destroyed by the last hurricane. There's no excursions available. I was hoping to get money back because this is not what I paid for. A couple hours in the evening at a beach. I wish they could have taken us right to a location like Nassau and we could have had more then a couple evening hours to enjoy. We spoke to the boat staff and they sent snacks to our rooms and gave us a complimentary dinner with 2 bottles of wine (food is free on the boat and we had paid for the ultimate drink pachage). I wish I could have gotten money back or money off my next cruise, so I actually could bring my kids to Bermuda.

Also, evening entertainment was a repeat of the same shows. So no Bermuda and watching the same show multiple times. Also this was supposed to be freestyle cruising and you had to reserve your Show tickets. I had to stand in the standby line for 40 minutes waiting to see if you we can get seated. I have been on many cruises and i loved the nice sit down dinners and going to a new show every night. I This is my third cruise Norwegian Cruise Line... This was my was not what I paid for.

They have to realize customer service plus selling us cruises during hurricane season WORKS BOTH WAYS - their competitors realize that

NickChris456    8 years ago

Insurance plus Carnival RCI and Disney gave the option of RESCHEDULING PLUS A 50- 100 % off future cruise decent thing to do

It's not just suck it up - it's the way NCL handled it - kudos to the Captain who sailed us out of the Hurricane - NCL knew damned well we weren't going to Bermuda and sailing out the next day the longshoreman told me before I boarded - when I boarded they denied it - then announced after everyone boarded LIARS - that's what most of us are upset at - we could have cancelled for no reason through

I got off the ship on October 2nd and the weather was perfect for the week it's amazing how the weather can be during hurricane season. Its hit or miss and I understand your feelings.I go for the ship and this was my fourth time in a year on the breakaway. You should call and complain it was a lot of money for your family trip.Im not sure you will get anything but try.

I don't think these people would be saying this if they where on this Cruise , I have such a list of complaints I don't know where to start & yes I am one of the one's that made a FORMAL COMPLAINT , if you weren't on the Breakaway on 10/09/2016 then you have no idea , it had nothing to do with Hurricane Season !!! Thank you !!

Katnowick....go online and make a formal complaint. There are tons of unhappy passengers from that sailing making complaints. Not bc we all wanted to be steered right into the hurricane but bc of poor communication and lack of everything on the ship. You are not the only passenger feeling this way.

I was also on that cruise and never once did I think hey this was a great price...what a bargain! For me this was as costly as cruises I've taken in May and June

That's the risk in hurricane season. We had cancelled ports because of a hurricane last year. Doesn't stop me from booking in September or October. Deal with it. Next time book for a spring cruise!

Be thankful the cruise line opted for a safe trip instead of getting even more complaints.

Suck it up people. It's HURRICANE SEASON

There was nothing cheap about the fare. Katnowick make sure you fill out a complaint via the NCL post cruise guest relations section of their website. A lot of people have been writing, calling, and registering complaints. And rightfully so.
