Review summary

Let me start by saying I didn't enjoy it at all . I bought the soda package when I got on the ship, but it was like pulling teeth to get a soda the staff always gave me a hard time if I asked for two sodas. I would ask for two so I didn't have to come back and fourth to the bars where it was crowed and full of drunk people slurring there words and falling all over the place. The food was horrendous not good at all, and I got a dinner package I didn't even use , but once. I gave it away that food was worse, and the service at the specialty restaurants was horrible waited 55mins for my dinner to come out and God forbid I ask for another soda which I paid for.

The best part of the cruise was getting off in NYC.

The boat itself is very nice and clean the state room and housekeeping were great.

The shops on the boat are over priced , the casino stinks of cigarettes so bad you can't even walk through it, forget about going in the pool that was crowed all day long with drunk people sitting around not actually using the pool. Two of the three water slides were shut down with no explanation JUST CLOSED......

I got a list of all negative and a few positives , with that I am not a happy customer and I don't believe I got all my onboard credit that was due to me, but at this point it don't even matter.....

The guy who cleaned my room was the highlight of our day he was nice and very cool his name was Martin the rest, like the bar tenders all were useless to me

Not bad, balcony was great and a great place for the family to sleep while they go sea sick for the first 2.5 days

Ship tip

Only go if your 18 and a alcoholic who wants to get trashed and sit around pool !all ll day and do nothing.

Shame that people go down on anyone who likes a drink ,its a vacation ....if you have purchased the UDP you are entitled to a little slurring ,in fact i would be disappointed and think the drinks were watered if i didn't slurr after a good night out .shheee youuujj onbooarddddd

Wow why is everyone so mean!!! She expressed her opinion and everyone is getting nasty. My opinion with NCL has been pretty good. The only thing I have ever complained about is that the cabins seem smaller on the NCL ships. Other wise they seem to be very clean compared to others and I have always had help when needed. I'm truly sorry you had such a bad experience. Maybe the crew was off that week

I have been on the Breakaway twice, and while there are people who over indulge (not the cruise lines fault people are not respossible), I never I need had any issues getting drinks or even with the food. Sure during busier times you might wait little, but that is expected. As far as the bank issue, that is not the cruise lines fault, your bank decides how long a preauthorization lasts.

Sorry I have to totally disagree we went on a cruise to Bermuda 2 weeks ago and didn't have any issues with anything you encountered. This was our first time on a cruise and I have to say we we're so impressed food was spectacular service was a bit slow first day then after was superb and never an issue with seats at pool was able to enjoy all the entertainment at pool etc. Shows were great not one negative to say so I disagree 100% and also never a problem with slides either Sorry

Oh no that's disappointing. We were on the epic and if was very hard to get s drink by the pool bar. Never had that problem on the Jade
