Review summary

This cruise (Alaska specifically) was a bucket list trip for us and we had not cruised in years so it was almost like a brand new experience. Norwegian was fantastic, well organized and I will definitely sail with them again. The staff, the ship, the activities, the excursions, the overall experience could not have been better.

Embarkation

Outstanding, seamless, well organized and efficient!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The ship offered many dining venues and while we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy all of them, the ones we did visit were outstanding. Not only the number of options and variety, but the wait staff, the hostess's, the manager's who personally greet each guest at their tables & ask about their dining experience, to the cleanliness and unique decor.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The ship offers many activities! In fact, so many that sometimes you have to choose between them. We were able to enjoy Live Music in several of the venues, experienced the Beatles Experience and the Jersey Boys which were outstanding. The DJ late night and at the Pool was fun for all ages and the Casino offered both tables and slots - something for everyone.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were amazing - Both the Jersey Boys and the Beatles Experience were outstanding. Lucas Simpson in the District was amazing and LG in the Observation lounge was truly enjoyable. The DJ provided late night entertainment for those who want to dance the night away and Seaside offered a variety of great music at several of the Venues.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the employees aboard the ship were friendly, happy and greeted us with a smile whether it was first thing in the morning or as we were turning in for the night. They were professional yet personal and made you feel welcome whenever you saw them. The Manager at Savor was amazing, as was the Hostess with her excellent food recommendations. The Chefs at the Teppanyaki grill were entertaining and fun! The Bartenders - Merwyn, Rami and many others were great, with a smile and excellent service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was easy to maneuver. Stairs and elevators on each end of the ship and venues, entertainment, dining and activities in between. It was easy to get around and remember where things were and there was plenty of signage to remind you in the event you got turned around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our Cabin was perfect for this cruise! It was large enough for two of us to move around comfortably, store 4 suitcases under the bed, a sink with 2 faucets and a large shower in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the deck was nice and provided us the opportunity to view our ports as we approached them.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The disembarkation experience was outstanding. The day before you choose the time you wish to leave the ship, pick up the color of luggage tag for that time from the Guest Services Desk and secure it and leave your luggage the night before outside your door. We got up, had a leisurely breakfast, they announced our luggage tag color (early which was great) and we simply walked down to the correct deck and departed and went to the aisle matching our luggage color picked up our bags and walked out the terminal... It was fantastic and so easy.
