Great weather and a really nice family cruise. Only thing missing was the Northern Lights!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Got their early and it went quickly after the boat was ready to embark.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Staff in all areas was very good. The food experience was lackluster. Cagney's was OK, but not the special meal I was hoping for. Teppanyaki's show was missing some elements that we experienced on other Bliss cruises, ie the ship toss.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Lot's to do and many choices to pick from. The pools and hot tubs were used on a daily basis by my granddaughters. They liked the tube slide. The tube drop was not used, because my granddaughter did not weigh enough, The cruise line needs to do a better job of listing the restrictions and costs (the race track and laser tag) on the website in the descriptions. It's a disappointment when you think you have access to all of these activities and then find out you cannot do them because of a restriction.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Jersey Boys was a main consideration for choosing this ship. The Beatle's Experience was also excellent. Went to a couple of their shows. Icons was also good. Did not go to the Atrium or lounges to hear other groups.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Monica in Shore Excursions is excellent. She reassured me when in Juneau that I would make the Endicott Arms boat after doing the Dog Sled early that morning. She was on the Endicott boat and was delightful! Sampson was our room steward. He was very helpful and friendly. He promptly took care of any requests and got answers to our questions. The staff, as a whole, were friendly and very accommodating.
Ship Quality

All areas were well maintained and clean. We learned to use the elevators away from the crowds whenever possible .
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was well kept on a daily basis. The bed was comfortable, but the corner was too close to the TV wall making it difficult to maneuver around. The balcony was great. The room was noisy when other cabins used the toilets or ran water all hours of the day and night.
The Raptors and the Totem poles in Heritage park were exciting. I would have like to have had a tour guide with me. I ended up walking a trail to see totem poles, only to do a loop with no totem poles. The signs did not give enough information, only direction. Loved St. Michaels--absolutely beautiful.
Helicopter ride and dog sled ride(not purchased thru Norwegian) on the glacier were a highlight of the entire trip. . Also did the tram prior to the 1st excursion.
This excursion (not thru Norwegian) was also a major highlight. So many Humpbacks and Orcas up close and personal! Our boat had underwater sonar, so we could hear the whales communicating. This was my husband's favorite tour. Watched many, many humpbacks as the Bliss departed the area.
Our excursion(not thru Norwegian) made this a memorable port. We had a tribal elder give the tour, with much knowledge of the history of his tribe and of Alaska. We saw the fish ladder, a bear getting salmon from a steam, totem pole carving and much more.
