Review summary

The Mexican Riviera on the NCL Bliss was a great trip. The Bliss is a large ship and was very crowded. Always something to do! The weather was great. November 6-12th the temperatures were in the 70s most of the days we were there. I recommend booking everything early as things fill up fast and get sold out. Crowded elevators and shows/events so plan ahead. Food and drinks were great. Room was great. Service was exceptional.

Embarkation

Get to the port EARLY. The check in was very smooth for us because we got there around 10:00am but it started getting crowded around 11:00am. They started boarding about 11:30 for those who were already checked in.

Entertainment

The shows were all amazing. Six the musical was phenomenal, I saw it twice. Jersey Boys was very well done and the Beatles Experience was just like watching the Beatles live. The comedians were okay, not great. The lounge musicians were all very good as well.

Cabin / Stateroom

Good room and great room steward! The only downside is that it is a LONG walk to the elevator/stairs. The walk takes about 4-5 minutes down the hallway before getting to the elevator. Also there is a large pole, right outside the door, so you have to be careful coming out of the room.

Ship tip

It’s a crowded ship so always plan ahead. Book shows, excursions, restaurants, etc. EARLY. Also the elevators get crowded so keep that in mind when heading to dinner or shows.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

San Pedro is a very old port and very industrial. Millions of shipping crates and nothing else. If you plan on getting there early, stay in Long Beach or LA

Disembarkation

I highly recommend booking a debarkation excursion in LA. We had a great tour of Rodeo Drive and Santa Monica Beach and then they take you right to the airport.
