Review summary

Overall it was a wonderful cruise and experience. There was a lot of time at sea, which became pretty boring at times. I can't say enough about the service on the ship. It was the absolute best!

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Easy. There was a lot of stress surrounding the ArriveCan process. Each person during embarkation asked if we had our receipt, yet I never had to show it. We didn't get off the ship in Victoria.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All excellent except for Cagney's.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
So many art auctions and "seminars." Everything was geared to sell, sell, sell!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
By far the BEST service we have experienced anywhere, EVER!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Gorgeous ship and so well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was very cozy and had a beautiful view. There was much more storage than I was expecting.

Ship tip

If you're not someone that likes art auctions, seminars, stupid games, or to be drunk all day you better bring something to do on sea days.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Walked around before and after our cruise. So many things to do and see. I was surprised how clean it was.

Juneau, Alaska

Not much to do in town. So many commercial jewelry and souvenir shops. We did a whale watching excursion that was AMAZING!!! We booked the excursion through this site.

Skagway, Alaska

2 out of 5
It's a ghost town!!! Only a couple of restaurants were open. Of course all the jewelry shops were in full swing. Our initial excursion train and bus into Canada was canceled. We booked another excursion that was canceled So, we hiked around Lower Dewey Lake which was spectacular!

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Beautiful scenery and lots of adorable sea otters.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
Ketchikan was a fun and hopping city. However, we were only scheduled to be there for 6 hours. NCL has a port that's about a 20 minute bus ride to downtown. The last bus left downtown 2 hours before the ship left! So, we were only able to enjoy the city for a couple of hours. NCL has a lot of kinks to work out with that.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
We did the self assist. We were off the boat and in our hotel shuttle within 15 minutes.

I was on a 14-day cruise aboard Bliss this past January that had 6 days and I always found something to do. I was never bored and I had fun; fortunately I like all the things that you don't, so I had fun! I even "bought" a very nice painting to hang in my friend room. Cheers!

I'd try a different cruise line. I found the same with Norwegian but Royal and Celebrity aren't like that.
