Review summary

Our family was very disappointed in Norwegian. The kids club was closed and has been closed since November but no one was aware until one week before we went on the cruise. Then the kids were given $100 to spend in the arcades unknowingly that the card could keep being used past $100. Consequently my family was charged $600 extra for the arcade game use. Very unprofessional by Norwegian bliss to give this responsibility to children to monitor the amount of money they are spending on a game.

Specialty dining rooms were great but the main dining room was fair as well as the buffet.

Spencer James was amazing as a comedian. And the jersey boys musical was very good.

Children's Programs

The children’s club was closed and the compensation was an epic fail for the company. My family lost $400 each due to the fact that they allowed children to try to pay attention to how much they are spending on the cruise. Real bad judgment on the cruise is part

Ship tip

The staff on the Norwegian bliss did a very poor job of explaining charges that may occur. I feel like the company is doing whatever they can to try to make a buck.

I’m confused as to why you based this review off of you neglecting to monitor your child’s spending. Your bill is available on your tv in your room, every hour of every day. The Cruiseline isn’t obligated to provide childcare or monitor your children’s spending. My guess is had they not been left in an arcade the entire cruise, perhaps they wouldn’t have spent your money.

You can go to guest services and put a spending limit on each kids card and check your balance every day from your room. This wasn’t the cruise lines fault, and you didn’t lose money cause of the cruise line, your kids spent it.

The arrival times and departures at each port are published well in advance.

Also, keeping track of spending should be the parents responsibility, not the children's.

Since COVID, asking the important questions before your cruise or before booking has always been common sense.
