We selected this cruise with credits from a cancelled one. Not as warm in December as in our original March date, except in the Mexican ports. The ship itself, our cabin, the food, the variety of things going on, the staff were all excellent!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
After transport form airport, Covid testing, and registration with photo taken, our ID's didn't work to get on ship due to some computer (?) glitch. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food selection and taste at the included restaurants was very good. The value at the specialty restaurants that were part of our package was excellent. Somewhat disappointed that there were so many "pay" restaurants on board. Hours of restaurants were great and staff was excellent!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We did 1 waterslide but due to timing/weather, were not able to do anymore. Played 6-hole mini golf. No racetrack (fee). Fitness center looked nice, as did spa(fee), but we did not use either.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Disappointed that main stage show was cancelled due to illness. This caused schedule to change throughout the week. Magic show was mostly card tricks, entertaining. Audience participation events (newlywed game, line dancing) always fun!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was better than expected, probably because our cruise was at about 1/2 capacity during Covid recovery. Less crowded, less lines. Mario, our steward, was so friendly and willing to help. Norbert, in Effy sales, was very patient and understood what I wanted.
Ship Quality

Design was absolutely beautiful!!! Loved to see how various areas were decorated and especially enjoyed the seating, food and ambiance in the observation lounge as the weather was sometimes chilly while cruising. However in this time of CLEAN, we found an open bottle(used) in our cabin refrigerator and someone else's socks under the edge of our bed!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Nice size balcony. More storage than expected for a ship. Comfortable bed. Roomy well-equipped bathroom. Would recommend swivel on TV so could be viewed from bed. Did not hear overhead announcements in our cabin (not sure if they were supposed to come through there)
Ship tip
Try everything! Take advantage of the activites, restaurants, lounges, shows, decks, etc There is so much to do!
Not regular cruisers, so when we went for luggage tags for disembarkment, most colors were gone. Did not know when they became available. Process in the am was speedy and efficient.
Yeah, after 2 cruises on Celebrity I found that PA announcements are apparently not sent to the the staterooms so guests can have some quiet 🤐. They can have a switch to mute it, you know... 🙄. OR have the TV set to the announcement channel by default. Going out to the balcony or hallway to hear the announcement was bunk.
