Review summary

Staff not as polished as I’ve experienced on 3 cruises with Royal Caribbean. Took 4 days to get the right number of towels for our room. Twice we came back after being gone off the ship and our room wasn’t ready. Get a band that does reggae, not just 90% Motown, which I enjoyed. On the pool deck the DJ played in order: Red red wine, Karma chameleon, Sexual healing, Nothings going to stop us now, Faith, I’m going to be your number one. Simply terrible.

Embarkation

Asked to select a time and we chose 10:30am, got on after 12pm.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining had good meals, bad service. Servers don’t introduce themselves and expect only one glass of tea during dinner. Food choices in the buffet were good, just don’t expect an easy snack like cookies to be accessible for kids, YOU MUST ASK FOR THEM.

Onboard Activities

Margaritaville Store

Must pay to enter and pay to eat. No thanks.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Bands were good, just small main area to hear them, limited seating and no dance floor.

Children's Programs

Nice area for my 2 yo to enjoy as well as the splash park on the pool deck.

Harvest Caye, Belize

Long pier, excellent setup for pools, beach chairs, kids splash park.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Another tender. Good day at the beach.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Hop the trolley to the Krazy Lizard. Free WiFi, $10 bucket of Corona, welcome shots of tequila.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We enjoyed our day at Bamboo Beach

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Need to add a pier instead of dealing with a tender. You could see the Royal Caribbean at its pier. Also, Haven guests move to the front of line for tenders. WTH

Cozumel, Mexico

New York, New York

Clclip4xs, embarkation is the act/process of embarking and the check-in is apart of that. Yes, I understand the extremely hard work everyone does on the ship, but I was asked about “my experience on this cruise” which I can only compare to my past cruises, that include superior service on RCI cruises I’ve taken. I’m not on a high horse, I had a small interior room and I was expecting a service level that I’ve come accustomed to. I’ll be cruising again so my experiences will be the basis for my comparing one cruise line to another.

Canadiantino, what restaurant are you referring to that I gave one star? You don’t have to comment because you can.

How do you give 1 star to a restaurant that you didn’t even eat at? Having to pay sucks but does not warrant 1 star. Terrible review. Real #Karen style.

Check in and embarkation are not the same. What you were asked for was what time will you be arriving and checking in. Embarkation never begins before 12. The time you check in generally determines what number boarding card you get. The earlier you get there the lower your number. By you can always pay for priority access and be in the first group as long as you get there before 12. And see how "polished" you are after working 12 - 16 hrs a day 7 days a week for months at a time and be away from your family. Yes, they chose the job, but have some understanding. Drop a note and let your expectations known. Your cabin isn't the only one they have to care for...and maybe climb down off your high horse. 😒
