We will stick to the smaller ships and if that means we sail with another company, so be it. Take care and Bon Voyage to all!

Food and Dining

We dined at 2 specialty restaurants, the 3 main dining rooms, of course the buffet a couple of times which offered a wide variety each evening. Le Bistro was the best of the whole week with impeccable service and fantastic food but, La Cucina left me wanting more from a specialty restaurant as the service was sub-par and the food was just above average. The main dining rooms Taste, Savor and the Manhattan were all very nice and great places to eat with excellent choices and service. We did eat at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville which had a short menu and very pricey for what is offered. The service was very good but, the food was very average and I honestly expected better.
Onboard Activities

Mostly visited the shops and the photography studio. I am not a big fan of the way photos are displayed and especially the packages offered. If you want a lot of photos (at least 20 or more) you have to buy a photo book and then you get the photos also. Not a lot of options that fitted my wants, therefore not too happy with them. The shops are nice with easier access with great personnel (of course they are trying to sell you something).
Entertainment

The shows were great but, when you have to stand to watch the comedy show it is not very pleasing along with no one to help on seating for people with disabilities.

Service and Staff

During the whole trip no one from the cruise line ever offered assistance before hand until the last night when I received a phone call in our room about disembarkation and when I mentioned the cabin problem, the customer service agent proceeded to tell me what I should have done which I had done all of those items which I didn't need the lip service on what I should have done. Also, the ship is set up for persons with disabilities but, it is not enforced as there were people sitting in handicap areas that were not handicap which left us to find other places to sit for breakfast, lunch, dinners, shows and so on. Our room steward was very good, listen to our concerns, helpful and accommodating which was great compared to his supervisor as I voiced a problem with the water manifold in the shower being a huge safety concern but, the powers to be didn't seem too concerned. We went to Mexico and enjoyed ourselves very much as the crew was helpful when we showed up with my father in law in a wheel chair (funny how that it is when you present them with an obstacle) for the disembarkation/embarkation process. Hopefully I have not soured anyone on cruising as we enjoy it every time but, wanted to let people know about what we found and that bigger ships are not always the answer because I believe that customer service suffers due to the higher number of people on board to deal with.

When taking a shower there are 2 valves on each side of the manifold regulating the water pressure and temperature. After a time in the shower and with soap on my face I grabbed the manifold between the valve knobs and Boy Oh Boy I felt like had grabbed the wrong end of a hot frying pan as the manifold was that burning hot. I voiced my concern to the room steward who told the supervisor but, the answer I got was not satisfactory as nothing was done nor was any warning going to be put in place. Taking a cold shower was and is not the answer. When booked we clearly stated we needed a room with wheel chair access and assistance but, since those were not available we were assigned a balcony room near the elevators, so we were happy at the time. When we boarded and word to wise here, that when we went to enter the cabin, the wheel chair would not fit through the doorway. Thankfully, my father in law is not 100% wheel chair bound and was able to work his way into the room but, after 10 to 15 minutes as he is a survivor of 3 strokes along with suffering from dementia. This added time to our days to allow for getting into and out of the room.
Ship tip
If you are requiring any special assistance, please do your due diligence on what services are offered, where are the areas for seating, who to talk to, the cabin accessibility and so forth.
I agree with the above comment as far as accessibility. No cruise line has a door that a wheelchair will fit through unless it is an accessible cabin. Next time, make sure to book one of those cabins.
There are warnings about hot water in the showers, but it's not the cruise lines fault you grabbed the wrong handle, it's yours. If all the handicap cabins are sold, then you should not have booked that cruise, again this is no fault of cruise line, but your own. It seems you are overly picky how you want things to go, and blame everyone else for the failure. Not trying to be critical of your post, but you need to accept most of the responsibilities of your dissatisfaction of that cruise.
