Review summary
I just got off the Bliss this past Sunday and wanted to share my perspective of the cruise as a whole. From start in Seattle getting on the ship was a breeze at my 10:30 am check in time. Was on the ship enjoying a drink and lunch by 11:30 at Margaritaville. Got into our rooms by 1pm and had time to unpack and enjoy the room then explore the ship. Getting off was equally as easy - no issues or waits Had dinner at Cagney's and it was okay - but not the best steak I have had and my daughter had the lamb - it was a tad overcooked but she said it tasted good but not the WOW we were expecting. That WOW moment came when we ate at Food Republic- do not miss out on this restaurant OMG it was soooo good and the staff were the bomb! We liked it so much we used out last specialty dinning to go back so we could try other items on the menu and were equally wow'd the 2nd time. Taste and Savor were excellent for breakfast and lunch or dinner...great staff - always got a window table. Never made it to Manhattan - Taste and Savor were always close and available. We did the buffet but it was just okay and always crowded so we stuck with Savor or Taste. Jersey Boys are a must see as well as the new show SIX- it was awesome. Also don't miss out on the comedy club - too funny. The shore excursions thru the ship were a breeze to get were we were going and we had an awesome time with the Whale watching in Juneau - even had time to walk around the city and go to the haunted Alaskan Hotel & bar. The River Jet boats in Haines was unbelievable and so much fun. we even saw a big bull moose. In Ketchikan we did a private tour that was so much fun...check out Ketchikan Adventure Tours - reasonable and so much fun going off the beaten path. In posts before I left people were complaining about the elevators but we never had an issue at all - I think we waiting at most 2 minutes one time. If you cant handle that wait then take the stairs Wifi was sketchy at times but then again your in the middle of the ocean - lol In port connections were never a problem. My cabin was 13208 mid ship balcony and loved it - very spacious and comfy. even on the one night the sea was a little rough we didn't feel it in our cabin. Only one thing that bugged me a little was people on board lounging and sleeping with shoes and socks off in the Observation Lounge - didn't matter if it was day or night. So I just stayed away and enjoyed the adult only back of the ship in Spice H2O - the hot tubs were never crowded and the servers at the bar were awesome. Saw a lot of whales from the hot tubs too! My frame of mind was no matter what I was going to have a good time regardless of weather or any unforeseen problems. Go with that mindset and you will have a blast!! Ship tip
Best time ever! Weather was beautiful every day and the food was amazing. Donβt miss out on Food Republic because it was the best food. Taste and Savor were really good too. Go with a positive attitude and donβt let little stuff ruin your good time.
