Review summary

I loved the Bliss. Would love to cruise on it again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation once inside the port was a breeze. Outside is caotic. Parking is horrible in Miami, traffic with embarking and debarking passengers in the same location needs improvement. My suggestion, arrive EARLY!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining food was good as well as The Local. Cagney's has amazing service, food was excellent but it's loud for conversation. Service took 2 1/2 hours which I didn't mind, but some people might. We missed our show because of it. My favorite was La Cucina. Only had breakfast and a few snacks at the buffet. It was typical buffet, nothing spectacular.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
While there was a lot of activities offered on board, we did not partake in many. Reservations are required for the race track and laser tag, which if you don't book before the cruise, sell out. Never did find the mini golf course because there was just so much to see. Great space at the pool. Never a lack of chairs on either upper or lower deck. I love how the childrens pool is connected to the slides/water play area. That kept them out of the other pool so the adults could hang out and not be jumped on.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Jersey Boys was good. No obstructed views in the theater makes for every seat a good seat. Missed the other shows because dinner ran late in specialty restaurants. Absolutely loved Siglo. They play all types of music. People got up to dance and that was great! The Nashville band was great too. Only downside, they play most of the time in the Q Restaurant, which is a pay restaurant, so many people probably don't realize you can go in and just sit and listen to the pay without buying food.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was friendly. We found a gem of a bar outside on the waterfront at the Mojito bar and the amazingly engaging bartender, Bong. With his bar tricks, whitty conversation and extremely outgoing personality, it made it our stop every night for pre-dinner cocktails.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was extremely clean for as many people that were onboard. My only complaint is the size of the hallways leading to the staterooms. They are 1 person wide. Throw in a housekeeping cart or luggage and it's complicated! Yes, I'd prefer more cabin room, but not at the expense of such a tight corridor.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved the layout. Please do away with the footstool under the counter and put in drawers!! The closet is SMALL but I did like the abundance of hangers. Nice size bathroom, but the shower is small and ladies need a foot rest or just a bit more room so we can shave!!! Loved having a coffee maker in the room.

Ship tip

Make all your reservations, dinner, shows and activities as soon as you can before you sail! Don't eat at the same place. With so many options you can eat somewhere different for each meal!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
I was going to rate this lower because it's not really the cruise lines fault to try to get so many people off in such a short time frame and most of the issues are because of passengers complaining or not following the rules which causes disruption.
