Review summary

Overall great. We’ve been on Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival and Holland America was our favorite. Older more conservative crowd. We liked the Lincoln Cemter stage entertainment and of course Alaska speaks for itself.

In 3 dinner meals the menu would describe an ingredient/topping etc that turned out wasn’t what we got. For example dessert one night said chocolate was somehow in the cheesecake but there was none and when we pointed it out the waiter pointed out the crust was chocolate but theee was no cocoa flavor and later in the buffet we saw same item but crust there had a chocolate crust. Another time the menu item described something to have peanuts but no peanuts anywhere and waiter didn’t have an answer. Another time “grilled” beets came out non grilled rather more like jelly. Another was a menu item described as “molten” chocolate inside and it was basically a cold brownie and nothing liquid inside. These were disappointing as your brain expects one thing and it’s not there. On the flip side the wait staff was amazingly friendly and accommodated my wife’s vegan needs very well.

Small things like not so great. Finding a towel under the sofas cushion from a previous cruise and hair in the drain of tub so water wouldn’t go down very well. On flip side rooms were spacious.
