Great cruise, nice excursions in ports. But better take some good books when doing this cruise on the Noordam. They will not be able
to entertain you on board for a week.

Good food, great personel, very basic entertainment. No possibilities for free coffe or softs outside one restaurant so people were blocking tables throughout the day and having to look for free tables every time we came to eat.
Onboard Activities

Shows were high school level. They had a great band in the BB Kings Blues Club playing 45 minute sets but after their set the music stoped (no dj taking over), they turned on the lights and every dancing guest disappeared. The band had to start all over again to get some atmosphere going.

Good cabin, some little defects like a wardrobe door without know and a loose door. Had a blocked toilet on the whole aisle one morning. Front desk staff not really impressed by it, cabin steward managed to solve the problem in a wink.
They managed to give one hour different disembarkation times to my family staying in one cabin.
Just another proof of poor organisation of the embarkation and disembarkation procedures.
I just sailed to Alaska on the Noordam August/ September of 2016 and enjoyed everything about it. Our best cruise, ever 🤗 Sorry you didn't find it do-able.
