Review summary

We highly recommend this ship (Noordam) and the Holland America Line. The ports of call and shore excursions were great and well organized. You never felt like you didn't know where to go. The ship is new but the staff and crew are seasoned.

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
We wish we could have stayed longer to see more of the island.
Don't Miss: The sail catamaran was the experience of a lifetime

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
The beach and shopping is right next to the ship. This port will become very popular quickly.
Don't Miss: Don't skip the dune buggy ride. You drive two person vehicles and have a blast.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
The downtown shipping is close to the ship. A two day stop would not be long enough. We would consider a one week vacation here.
Don't Miss: Orient Beach (big waves)

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
On a previos cruise we went to Megan Bay. This time we decided to go over to St. John. For the girls, the shopping is next to the dock. No need to go into town.
Don't Miss: Went to St. John for the beach. Picture postcard scenes.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

1 out of 5
Skip this port. Only a few hour stop and nothing to do.

Pros: New Ship and Friendly Crew

Cons: Stop at P.R.
