We had taken a different cruise line from Fort Lauderdale to Copenhagen, and it was so nice to book this cruise to get back to the United States. I loved being able to visit Iceland and Greenland. Cruising the Prins Christian Sund was wonderful. I think we only had rain at one port, and the weather was pleasant the rest of the time. I'm glad we were able to experience this Viking Passage.

Food and Dining

Lido Buffet had the same menu as Main Dining for dinner, so we could choose which venue was best that day. Good variety in buffet; nice pastries and breads. I like the way the buffet is served.
Flexible time in the dining room was nice, and we never had a problem getting a table.
Lido Market

I like the way the buffet is served. The stir-fry available is nice for a nutritious meal. The "Rise" bread selection was varied and good. The pastries were so much better than the Island Princess which we had just been on previously. I like that for dinner we have the same options as in Main Dining for a quick and casual way to try lots of foods. Of course the service is great.

We learned to attend the piano duo of Meagan and Gabe every night. They were great performers and personalized the selection of music. They work so well with each other. We hope they will be on the World Cruise 2024.
Entertainment

We enjoyed the World Stage evening productions (usually). We also went to the Billboard Onboard to listen to the wonderful piano duo of Meagan and Gabe.
World Stage

I like the layout for the audience--lots of exits and aisles. The EXC film and orchestra presentations were good. The pianist was very good. When performances were repeated, I didn't usually go (except for the pianist).
Service and Staff

Service is always good, and the service personnel soon learn when you want extra ice, or the evening dessert.

Nice sculptures and art work--and I probably didn't see all of it.

I had never had a Vista Suite before, and we will probably never go back to an ocean view. It was roomy and had a refrigerator.
Nice to walk around. Try the free yellow bus to ride around the city. Climb he 113 steps to the beautiful Akureyri Lutheran Church. I also found a great Lopi yarn store.
This was the highlight of the trip! It was great weather and we saw glaciers and waterfalls and icebergs. The fog set in about a half hour after we got out of the Sund.
Tender boat to the pier. We saw a fish processing place that was fascinating. There were lots of rock sculptures. We walked to the Town square where the oldest fountain in Greenland is.
Be prepared to walk (climb) many steps to go see the famous churches in the Historic Walk. The Basilica and the Cathedral are worth visiting. We walked along Victoria Street to see the colorful houses along the hills. I enjoyed the visit even though my legs got tired.
The Harbor Walk is nice. The Immigration Museum is Pier 21, and we could do a bit of research (after waiting in line), and there are lots of shops there. The Harbor Walk is nice. It was "Halifax Natal Day, so there were festivities on the Boardwalk.
