The biggest negative of Holland America. Boring shows. Repetitive music sets (gets VERY boring with NINE sea days on a 14-night cruise). The gym is fine (no or limited classes). ACTIVITIVES NONE!

Assistant Cruise Director is the DJ. ... Know NOTHING about being a DJ. Stage shows pathetic. Magicians, Jugglers, Comedians. ... Really HAL?

We were on the same as a back to back and enjoyed the stunning weather, playing cards by the pool and the shows. Sorry you did not have fun.

I look forward to a transatlantic cruise on Holland America. Sailed on th Veendam October 23, Loved it for all 7 days. Lovely, quiet, relaxing cruise. Excellent food and staff. When I do Holland America I know it is very laid back and choose that sometimes. Other times I sail Carvival for the fun.

Too bad your trip was such a downer. We did a crossing on the ship & had a great time. We really enjoyed the music walk.
