Overall, our experience with Holland was exactly what we were looking for. We will repeat.

Very fast, very simple. We were eligible for priority boarding and it was not very well indicated for first timers. Would have been good to have someone directing us to the priority ramp once we passed identification. Not a big issue.

Food was above expectations especially since we were comparing with previous experiences mainly in resorts.

We mainly enjoyed the pools. The theater onboard was also excellent with a very interesting program.

We don't have children and we didn't investigate anything concerning children activities. We actually selected Holland as it is a more older crowd.

Very vast room, to the point where we spent maybe too much time in the room and double balcony! We had breakfast on the balcony every morning. Was well worth the price.
Location was easy to get to. We flew two days before and stayed at a Marriott nearby, just in case with the frequent flight cancellations. We took a shuttle on embarkation day. Easy, that place is well organized.
Was our fast visit in Key West and we always wanted to see the place. We took one of the little busses and we got a very interesting guided tour of the town. Was worth it to have a quick overview of the place.
Half Moon Cay was excellent. It was not clear for us at the beginning that this was a private island belonging to Holland. All the drinks and food on the island was included with our cruise. Very convenient.
We had been in Nassau earlier this year on a different trip so we were not really interested by Nassau. As first timer on a cruise, we were more interested to enjoy the boat amenities.
It happened in a blink. We tagged our luggage the night before and they were taken out in the morning. We had breakfast and we got out after that, picked our luggage at their planned location, flew through border control, walk to a taxi and that's it! gone! There was an incredible number of taxi available. Nobody was waiting. We flew the day before and this was not really necessary (we were learning here!). We will fly the same day the next time, most probably in the afternoon.
