We’re planning the next cruise already, and will certainly be doing a lot more diving. It was great!

We arrived early because of the shuttle service from our hotel and it went smoothly.

Food and Dining

We ate dinner in the main dining room most nights and breakfast st Lido Market. Very good. For lunch we usually had burgers from Dive In. On shore days we ate before we went ashore.

Onboard Activities

The pools and hot tubs were nice, we also did a couple Windows classes and one from America’s Test Kitchen.

Entertainment

Lincoln Center Stage was great, we went almost every night. Also the Mainstage shows. We stopped by the BB King show and it was off the hook!

The service on Holland America’s Nieuw Amsterdam is impeccable.

It was very comfortable, but we’re getting a Veranda cabin for the next cruise.

Ship tip

Don’t overpack. But do bring a couple nice dresses or dinner jacket for Gala Nights.

We stayed a day before and a day after our cruise. There’s lots to see and do. We took a tour of the Midway Aircraft Carrier. Walked all over the place and also got a pass to use the electric train $5.00 per day.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

We went SCUBA diving! It was amazing and our dive team were so nice. Cabo Adventures and Armando you guys rock!

This town gets a bad rap but we loved it! We took an open taxi ride all over town and stopped at all the photo op stops on the Malecon. Our driver was so nice and it was very exciting!
