a beautiful ship by YolandaS

Sail date: /
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

slightly chaotic for 1st time cruisers. But well organized after you find your stateroom and become more familiar with surroundings. We were disapppointed that when booking with Cruises only, we informed them that we were on our honeymoon but never got a ticket for a honeymooners only event that was featured on the ship.

Great ship! by GreenK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I loved this ship. Everything was so accessible and even though all cabins were full, it never seemed as if it was crowded. I never waited in a line for anything, I loved the Royal Promenade (which we called Main Street) and the pool deck was the prettiest I have ever seen.

It wasnt a wonderful cruise by HenryA3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The muster drill was prolonged unecessarily by a weather report. We were standing in sun in a large crowd. The food quality was below average. The service was good. The live enteratinment was very good. The cruise director should have anticpated that on New Years Day, we would want to watch college football bowl games. The sattelite TV was not very good and very limited. Upon landing in Ft. Lauderdale at the end of the cruise the arrangemnts made for baggage claim and private auto pick up were not coodinated (No one appeared to be in charge).

Good cruise by CorkyS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Portifinos was great - Windjammer was just average. Generally, very nice but not enough places to get a cup of coffee. Service was very good but because of the crowd, did not feel the "personal service" we have experienced on a smaller ship. Highy recommend for the 20 something crowd and the family reunion groups but not for the senior crowd. We had a balcony room - very nice but weak on air-conditioning. Drinks were plentiful but lacked booze. Overall, ship is gorgeous, shops were reasonable on price. Disembarkation was a nightmare - need to get better organization.Probably a typical "Christmas" cruise - not our taste but no complaints in terms of accomodations and service.

4-Day Get Away by RhondaC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Navigator of the Seas is a most beutiful ship, awesome public rooms and I loved the main deck area it's like strolling down a quaint Main street with all the stores and different themed bars and lounges. My husband and I loved the Vintages Wine bar before dinner every night, with cheese and fruit offered with your glass of wine. And you can't beat the Crow's Nest Cosmopolitan bar and that view, well it's the best on the seas!! We loved all the nightlife options. The shows were great, the Champagne Bar and the live music at Schooner's Pub, and dancing at the Dungeon. Felt like a totally different night out, every single night. The new Seattle's Best coffee shop and the new Ben and Jerry's didn't hurt, either! Our balcony stateroom was great and had some new features (really liked the new type shower 'door" vs the old curtains which always got the floor soaked). Lots of storage , easy to unpack and felt like there was a place for everything. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, and the staff was wonderful.

Navigator of the Seas by Johnson27873288

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

2 Adults and 2 Children (5,8). 6th Cruise. Used Kids Club once per day for 2-3 hours, this was great for the kids. 1st Cruise with a balcony, add in the perfect weather and this made for nice evenings after kids went to sleep. Found food lacking from other cruises, not the amount but the options. Found the shows to be so-so. Crew was 1st rate, ship is 1st rate, rooms are 1st rate. The large number of passengers makes you enjoy the smaller cruise ships a bit more, for the most part the use of elevators following any group event is impossible.

"Best cruise I've ever taken" by AnneB4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was fantastic. This was my eighth cruise with my daughter and we thought this cruise was one of the best . The people were so nice, helpful, funny and so friendly. We loved our stateroom on the promenade deck because we could see all of the action below where the stores were and the parades. The photographers were great with the pictures we had taken, the lounges were so much fun with the kareoke, and oldies music, and the ice skating rink was a big hit with my daughter. The rock climbing wall looked like alot of fun and we enjoyed playing ping pong. It was so nice lying by the pool in 82 degree weather on Christmas Day. The Windjammer cafe had great buffets and the Gingerbread houses were so beautiful on display for the holidays. The dining room food was excellent and the waiters were so nice and friendly. Our waiter "Sydney' was so funny, helpful and so sweet and he helped us go on a tour of the kitchen with one of their chef's. The ship was so nicely decorated for the holidays and we sang Christmas carols on Christmas Eve. Even the waiters sang for us on Christmas day during dinner. The midnight buffet was beautiful with all of the ice carvings and delicious food. i loved everything on the ship and I will definitely consider doing another cruise on the navigator of the Seas.

A Great Family Cruise by BillS21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Despite the ship's large size, we never felt overwhelmed, rushed or overly crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful, without being phoney or pretentious. The ship was modern, but just starting to show a little 'age'.

A superb cruise by JohnD46

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship called "Navigator of the Seas" was fantastic. I expected it to look like some plain white vessel like I had seen on some show called "The Love Boat" about 30 years ago but it was SOOO different. The promenade is like a shopping plaza and you forget you are on board a boat at times!!! There were many jokes about how small the staterooms are but, I have traveled to Hong Kong & Japan and some hotel rooms I have stayed in there were smaller than the ship. There is so much space for storage so as long as you take advantage of storage space, it isn't bad at all. There is so much stuff to do that there is little time spent in this room anyway.

Very Nice Vessel by KimberkyY

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were very excited the moment we arrived because the ship if beautiful. However, the staff was not very friendly and the food choices were boring. I think every time we went to the little place to find something to eat it was the same old sandwiches and pizza. We had a party of 8 and we ask for a whole pizza and was told "NO". We had to each get in line to get one slice each and then keep getting back in line for more each time. On top of that, they had nothing to drink, not even water. they offered you coffee for free or you had to go to the bar and purchase a drink. We did not understand that at all. This was the only place you could eat if you did not want Johnny Rockets after dinner. The line was always long, like a 20 minute wait to get one slice of pizza. That was because it was the only place to eat. The food in the "windjammer" always looks played over and the desserts were the same day in and day out. We also went on the spa to book spa treatments and they did not have any openings until Friday (the night before the cruise was over). I could not even get a pedicure or my nail painted before dinner until Friday evening (the evening before the cruise ended). We also, tried to get in some of the spin classes and was told they were all booked. It seems to me they did not have enough staff to accomodate this large group of people. So, book your things before you get on the boat, if you can.

A spectacular ship by SulethaH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This ship and it's crew were spectacular! This ship is very well appointed with very attractive shops, dining rooms, cafeterias, and all very well located and easy to reach by stair or elevator. Spacious corridors and staterooms were inviting. My every interaction with staff members was very professional and pleasant. I've told family members and friends that Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas should be their next cruise to wherever.
