Cruising The Mediterrean by DougA1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was great--spotless in all areas and very comfortable. The food was very good in the Windjammer which is where we usually ate breakfast and lunch. I just LOVED the bread pudding that appeared every day at 3:00! We also loved the ice cream machines and took full advantage of eating an ice cream cone every day. The entertainment was very good. Loved the Motown night and the Bee Jees. We took the opportunity to enjoy many of the music in the different bars through out the week. We always felt like there was plenty to do and see onboard. The waiters were great and we thoroughly enjoyed the dinners. Our cabin steward was so friendly and he said he had just joined the crew the week before, but did an outstanding job. Really enjoyed our cruising experience!

Terrible Navigator of the Seas by TomC16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Overall the ship was a huge disappointment. After sailing on the sister ship Mariner of the Seas I expected the same high level of service and quality that they had. unfortunately the Navigator fails in this. The ship is dirty in may public areas and even the art collection looks as if it has not been cleaned or dusted in a year. this is a shame since there are many nice pieces to admire. The Cafe Promenade had some sort of water line leak for several days and the floor was covered with water each time we came to the counter with towels just put out to soak up the water. The repair was finally made mid week. It seemed weird that it was all wet when we boarded on Sunday but I guess it was not their priority. The front Desk staff was somewhat incompetent in resolving a credit which was not placed on my shipboard account. The y asked me to bring them documentation and when I did so by going online and printing it they referred me to Crown and Anchor and said it was not the ships issue to resolve it but they would have to wait for RCCL. That was frustrating but the C&A did request a credit as a gesture of apologizing which I appreciated. The worst part of the trip was a terrible stateroom attendant and the poor hard bed which left my back sore each day. Our stateroom attendant frequently did not make up our room until the ate afternoon even though we were up early and requested the room be made. He seemed to be indifferent to what our needs were and did the most minimum possible each day. We were very frustrated with this and if not for the fact we have had so many good cruises with RCCL (7 times previously) I think we might never sail with them again. I know we wont ever select this ship the NAVIGATOR is TERRIBLE just because of poor maintenance and low service standards in some departments.

We loved the Navigator. It was a great layout and the Promonade is a really nice meeting and hangout spot. This made me look forward to taking another Royal Caribbean Cruise soon!

Ship was always clean and very well organized. Large crowds but with over 3000 passengers could not be avoided.

first transatlantic with RC by GeorgianaS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

entertainment not to my liking except for classical pianist one afternoon. Promenade cafe nice place to pass some time, but they have no food between 5-6am, which is disappointing because we are early risers and like a bit of something with our coffee.

Great way to spend anniversary by PatrickF3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

I have been on the Freedom of the Seas twice. The Navigator of the Seas was obviously a template for the newer design, so it shared many features. The only thing I really missed was the Flowrider.

Wonderful, excellent, relaxing, incredib by RomuloH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

We sailed on the transatlantic trip of the Navigator of the Seas (three couples) and we all agree that it was the best, no comparison! The restaurants were fantastic, we enjoyed the pool area and the nightclubs. The Promenade is unbelievable, even when we were 8 days at sea, we did not feel it, as we were so busy relaxing, enjoying the champaign bar, wine bar, etc. etc. We are very impressed with Royal Caribbean's style and excellent service. We used all dining choices, the grand dining room, the Chops Grille and the Italian Portabello restaurants, and all were really excellent. We really liked the Chops Grille, the restaurant is beautiful and cozy, and the service was even better than the already great service the dining room staff usually delivers. The steaks and chops were outstanding, comparable to any great steak house. The Windjammer has so many choices, stations you can approach from all sides (so no endless line!). We used and loved all the nightlife options. The shows were great but we really enjoyed the latin club, Boleros, the Champagne Bar and the live music at Schooner's Pub. Actually, the Boleros was too small for the amount of people that wanted to enjoy the latin dancing (not only latinos!). Maybe a couple of nights dancing latino music at a larger venue would be a good idea. However, every day, mornings, daytime and night time were different. The staff did their utmost to make us feel comfortable hats off to them, all of them! We really enjoyed the shops and spent double our budget on shopping (and enjoyed it thouroughly). Our stateroom was cozy and comfortable and we really liked the shower. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful. Special cudos to the dining room waiters and assistant waiters and also to the Cruise Director Warren. Oh, getting on board was painless and getting off was very easy, because of the very helpful staff.

Great Cruise by TrumanH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

A great experience minus the expensive excursions and lack of "authentic" wares at each port. Its hard to believe that each island chose to buy products from China and promote them as if they were produced in their country.

Awesome 20th Anniversary Cruise by JenniferJ2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship looks pretty good for being 10 years old. Our cabin was on the back of the ship, outside and had a pretty big balcony. The floor of the balcony was deteriorating causing black material to be brought into the floor of the cabin. Other than that, everything was great especially the cabin attendant and dining services. The food was really good with a wide selection. You won't go hungry. Our 14yr old met tons of kids and had a great time. Our almost 11 yr old did not join in as much as there was not much for her age group. She still had great time at shows, climbing wall, skating, and other activities.

Amazing cruise! by TelleyS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was impressed with how clean the ship was throughout the whole cruise. Our room was always straightened and the bed made even if we had only been out of it for a short time. The crew was very professional and always informed and helpful. The shows and activities on the ship were fun and very well done.

AWESOME CRUISE by MarkB10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Room (Premium Balcony) was the best ever, totally sold on the balcony it is worth every penny for a longer cruise, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Everything about this ship and its crew are fantastic, yes it needs a dry dock cause its been a few years, but considering that it is a great experience. Shows, Food, Service, everything ! Would do again in a heartbeat !!
