Review summary
Overall the ship was a huge disappointment. After sailing on the sister ship Mariner of the Seas I expected the same high level of service and quality that they had. unfortunately the Navigator fails in this. The ship is dirty in may public areas and even the art collection looks as if it has not been cleaned or dusted in a year. this is a shame since there are many nice pieces to admire. The Cafe Promenade had some sort of water line leak for several days and the floor was covered with water each time we came to the counter with towels just put out to soak up the water. The repair was finally made mid week. It seemed weird that it was all wet when we boarded on Sunday but I guess it was not their priority. The front Desk staff was somewhat incompetent in resolving a credit which was not placed on my shipboard account. The y asked me to bring them documentation and when I did so by going online and printing it they referred me to Crown and Anchor and said it was not the ships issue to resolve it but they would have to wait for RCCL. That was frustrating but the C&A did request a credit as a gesture of apologizing which I appreciated. The worst part of the trip was a terrible stateroom attendant and the poor hard bed which left my back sore each day. Our stateroom attendant frequently did not make up our room until the ate afternoon even though we were up early and requested the room be made. He seemed to be indifferent to what our needs were and did the most minimum possible each day. We were very frustrated with this and if not for the fact we have had so many good cruises with RCCL (7 times previously) I think we might never sail with them again. I know we wont ever select this ship the NAVIGATOR is TERRIBLE just because of poor maintenance and low service standards in some departments.Ship experiences
