Good cruise! I just wish my new uggage hadn't been damaged. I did enjoy the ports though. The ship was always clean and tidy. The staff are all fantastic.

5 Day Pre-Christmas Family Cruise by CruisingLesley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our family of 14, with ages ranging from 78 to 8 gathered onboard for pre-Christmas festivities. This particularly is my third cruise on RC and realized on this trip, that all their ships are exactly the same. Same layout, same food, same restaurants, same entertainment & games, etc. So while it was enticing for my first 2 cruises, it's getting repeatative. Our eldest family member, whom is a Diamond guest on RC, has set sail many of times & found a huge decline in the service & dining experience. Without any other cruiseline experience, I would recommend RC (any ship) but I am personally ready for a different itinerary next go around.

I don’t think I would cruise this cruise again. However, I may try another Royal Caribbean vessel.

Food in the main dinning room was below standard. Service was poor special restaurant food was good and service was great. by johnmonteleone

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Very disappointed in the food quality in the main dinning room. It appears that this line has gone down hill in compared to there competitive cruise lines ie NCL Princess etc.

A little disappointing this time. by SIZMUR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Toilet problems. Would not flush at all on one day. No hot water in the sink at all for entire trip. Food in dining room and buffet was mediocre at best. RCC has seen better days.

Itinerary was wonderful! Embarkation/onboard experience not as good by kbilleck

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We love cruising and have cruised RCCI before - this one was not up to RCCI standards in our opinion. We traveled with some friends - this was their 2nd cruise - the other one was NCL. Overall, the NCL experience for them was a better experience and I would have to agree.

Meh by ppedersen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I remember why I don't like cruises - you need to pay for EVERYTHING! I was lucky to find water out of a tap; bottled water was $3.50 each. A bottle of beer is $7. Mixed drink is $10. Food needed some warmth and flavor.

This is my 3rd cruise. Navigator was the first ship I sailed on and now the 3rd. My husband and I had a wonderful time staying active and relaxing by the pool. We maintained a nice balance and overall enjoyed our trip.

Cruise to Remember! by CruiseNotALot

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Beautiful sightseeing cruise. The ports are excellent overall and is a great way to get a first taste of Northern Europe. We didn't experience much of the "party" atmosphere, but we weren't looking for that anyway.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

We enjoyed the ship and the staff. As mentioned above our suite and the attendant were marvelous. We cant speak for the excursions as we get into town and select what we want to do.

Very nice! by mrkurup

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

It would have been better if time at many Baltic ports were longer, ie arrive early and leave by 6 or 7 PM. Further more, aiming to make onboard internet work better would help. The basic service I first took on was very slow, you really need to get the high speed service to do most simple things. Otherwise very good experience.

Older Ship Geared towards the 50+ crowd. by mikenabbie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

The Ship is definitely starting to show its age, and our balcony room did not feel very clean. Our room steward was grood and kept room freshened up during the14 day cruise. There was NOT near enough to do on the 8 sea days, and the entertainment was the worst I have seen in my lifetime of cruising! Evening shows were extremely low budget and were the worst we have ever seen on royal! Ice show was Great but they don't require tickets anymore and it was a Mad rush to get seats! Their are 3,100 people on the ship and studio B holds 400!!, Incredibly poor planning on royals part! Main dining room food was good and our waiters were Great! Food in the windjammer was good for breakfast but seriously lacking for lunch! Lunch menu was almost the same for the entire 14 day cruise and very limited in options! Late night food was non existent as the only place open after 9pm was the pathetic cafe! Everywhere you go you are plegged with crew trying to Up-Sell you something, and by day 2 you are sick of it! Afternoon activities especially with the 8 sea days were all but non existent, they should have at least played some new release movies in the theater like they did in the past. The Cruise was definitely geared towards the 50-80 year old crowd.  All in all the cruise was not on par with what we've seen in the past.

Mediterranean cruise by Martica

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

We love to cruise and have done our fare share...I must say this cruise was right up there on top.   We where on the repositioning of the ship from Miami and ended in London, England.

It was perfect, the stops where phenomenal.  We where at sea 6 days, I thought we might get bored but not at all.  It made to stops was Portugal, 2 in Spain, Paris and London, LOVED IT ALL.

Relaxing! by PJBcruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Liked the first 6 days being at sea, very relaxing.  On a large ship like this one, plenty to do if you want too.  We took only one excursion, all the ports had do meting interesting just to walk to.  Lisbon was a particular treat, ship focus near the old part of city.  We enjoyed the food, ate at the buffet a lot...again, a larger ship has lots of variety even for gluten free and vegetarians.  Lots of international items. Many European guests which was nice.

Good & Bad by carolynstaehlin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Upon embarking, we were told staterooms wouldn't be ready until 1:30 p.m. but we could go to the buffet at 11:00 to have lunch.  It didn't open until noon. Dinner menu meat selections were prepared exactly as ordered.  Vegetables cooked perfectly, not overcooked.  Fish and lobster should be eliminated from menu as it was not fresh and tasted fishy.  Lobster watery after being defrosted and cooked.  On last night of cruise I got food poisoning from spoiled escargots.  Elevators didn't always work on Deck 9 and had to go up or down stairs.  Drinks were very expensive compared to other cruises.  There were small two pools next to each other on Deck 11 with kids cannon balling in both.  The Solarium was better but not enough seating.  The balcony off our cabin was dirty and had a lot of rust.  The plexiglass was never cleaned so difficult to see anything. The buffet was "o.k."  There was no outside hamburger/hot dog cafe by the pools where the food would be grilled.
