I remember why I don't like cruises - you need to pay for EVERYTHING! I was lucky to find water out of a tap; bottled water was $3.50 each. A bottle of beer is $7. Mixed drink is $10. Food needed some warmth and flavor.
Embarkation

Long lines, and no communication when the reservation system went down and everyone was stuck on the other side of security. Indicators on the ship pass stating your status and what line you should be in were not clear.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food was average at best. NY Strip Steak was as thin as a McDonald's hamburger. A filet that was ordered medium well came in rare. Buffet food was often cold; I hurt my jaw chewing on some toast.
Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Headline shows were terrible. Comedians were not funny. Onboard talent was lacking. The piano bar was the best thing, and even then the pianist had background music playing while playing the piano.

Would have probably been 5 stars if they actually changed the sheets, which they never did (they only made the bed) and on the 4th day we realized there were stains on the sheets.
Ship tip
Take the stairs. You'll work off all the food you (try to) eat and the elevators are all jammed with people
Would rate it higher if it wasn't hyped as the shopping Mecca of the Caribbean (and there wasn't a lot to shop for - St. Thomas and St. Maarten has this place beat, hands down). Did the UTV off-roading excursion - by far the best excursion out there, and a great way to see the island, at a great price.
Take your own bags off the ship and take Uber to your destination! We left the ship at 7:15 and were at MIA with our bags already checked in by 7:45. In-laws took a shuttle and left the ship around 9am; took them almost an hour before they were loaded on a shuttle and had to deal with the mass amount of people. Also - Uber for two was less that $20; a shuttle for two was almost $40.
Been on several ships and so far navigator is my favorite. I understand not all reviews are positive and want people to be honest but seriously complaining about paying for 'everything'?? Maybe they should double or triple the cost of the cruise and go on seaborn or MSC cruises.
I LOVED Navigator of the Seas and I thought the food was great, plenty of choices in both the buffet and MDR. Maybe because it was the Zumba cruise it was at a better quality level. I do agree vacations can be what you make it.
Think ppedersons review is another faux review- didn't state ship/cruise and profile is ZERO for cruising. Obviously newbie (if they did in fact cruise) and agree 100% with you #drewcjm. Vacay is what you make of it and this person seemed to have bug up butt before getting on ship. This person needs to look in mirror for reasons of having bad trip Yes, even ONE day at Disney is expensive with tickets, food,etc....
Don't you have to pay for everything on any non all inclusive vacation? And on a cruise you don't have to drive, you wake up in a new exotic destination every morning, most of the food and basic drinks are included, you don't have to cook or cleanup, all of your entertainment is included (even if you think it is bad), etc. It sounds like you arrived at the port with a negative attitude and let that mindset guild you for the entire trip. Personally I like to have fun and make the best out of my vacation, even if I'm staying with family that is hard to put up with. Any vacation is better than being at work!
Maybe cruising isn't for you, but If you really want to see expensive, stay a week at Disney World!
