A true mixed bag experience—I had gone on this trip to write a travel piece but received ZERO communication within this ship or Royal Caribbean, after many attempts. You are charged, sometimes, twice, a high gratuity. The packages offered were for the most part were very expensive, cocktails in particular $$$. Food and service, staff—excellent. Things could be better.

With the exception of the the ridiculousr "disco" events, pretty good.

The NEXT Cruise was under staffed—Long, long wait; finally gave up.

somewhat confusing at first, slow elevators, in time, you get the feel of it.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our mistake: the interior rooms are prison cells—small, dark, a barely manageable shower. It was a lesson!
Ship tip
Be prepared to be sold, thus, Sale away, they will try to sell any and everything at ever turn. It's hard to know initially what is complimentary and what is not. They should have a better system.
The wine tasting excursion was moved from 1 to 11:15 am—Note: we did not, nor was offered any lunch at anytime. We returned after 4 pm. The "guide" was completely an amateur (she may have been filling in) and her singing for most of the journey left a lot to be desired. Sorry, you asked.
oh lord. A mess. Hours late, explanations an hour late, and to top it off, here's a TIP: HIRE A PORTER and you will avoid long lines, be shuffled into a line in front of people who have been waiting—in essence, like all else, money talks.
Don’t assume that a cabin with a window or a balcony will have a larger bathroom or shower. It isn’t necessarily so. Travel agents can also be helpful in planning your trip and answering questions prior to your cruise.
Complimentary versus additional cost items are clearly listed on the cruise line’s website, as is the gratuity charge. Room size and drink costs could have easily been looked up beforehand as well. Why would you write a travel piece when you clearly didn’t do much research on the topic?
Thanks for the review. It sounds like cruising may not be for you, or you at least need to read and understand what is and is not included. The gratuity charges are standard and are listed on the website and in the documents sent via email.
