Review summary

Relaxing and fun a lot to do for the whole family

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Lines were long but went fast

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Some of the best food at sea. No matter where you eat it will always be good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The ship is jam packed with stuff to do. RCL is lacking social activities like deck parties because the ship it’s self can keep everyone entertained. That’s the difference from RCL and carnival really

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ships has an ice show….what other cruise line can say they have that. Anyways I didn’t give this a 5 star because yes the ship has a lot to offer but the vibe is off. For example I didn’t really see the cruise director at all. They where more like a hotel director doing their job and that’s it. The same goes for all the crew. It’s funny because the ship has so much to offer but the crew just do there job and that it. The fun vibe through out the ship just isn’t there. It’s actually a chill vibe which is cool but just an interesting take with that kind of ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service is amazing. For example there was alot of maintenance issue with our cabin. I’m not one to complain so I didn’t report it and was like yes there is issue but nothing to keep me from saying this cabin isn’t going to work. One night in the MDR it causally came up with the head waiter. He pulled out his phone and made a call right then an there and said it will be fixed tonight. After dinner we went back to the cabin the find a maintenance person their asking us to show him the issues. He thank us saying we had no clue no one has said anything was wrong with this cabin and they will get it fixed. Sure enough it was fixed before we went to bed that evening.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The voyager class of ships when built changed everyone’s ideal and views on what a cruise ship should be. They were the biggest cruise ships in the world even. Know days some same they are one of rocks smaller ships which I find funny knowing there history. They still hold that wow factor though once you board and walk around even to this day. The ship does show her age a bit if you look closely but nothing major. Even all the issues in our cabin where addressed once I informed them about them.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
As I stated already this cabin had a lot of maintenance issues mostly cosmetic. A closet door was lose and a hind he was broken so the door wouldn’t close. The cabinet doors where hard to open and close and would get stuck. The toilet would always flush. Just to name a few of the issues. However it was all fixed is one evening once they were informed about it. That actually surprised me at how fast it was addressed.

Ship tip

You won’t have time to do everything. So if there is something you really want to do plan accordingly ahead of time. Especially if you want to do the escape room it books up fast. It must be the forest thing you reserve ahead of time or the first thing you do when you board at guest services.

Disembarkation

Worst one I have ever done. Mainly because they don’t have the upgraded system with facial recognition so it takes forever.
