Review summary

Overall the Navigator is the perfect ship for this type of itinerary. Lots to do, great food and drink, and fun ports to visit. We’ll be back!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation process was quick. Don’t put away your photo ID though. They asked for it at every station in the process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Windjammer was great. Lots of variety and food was prepared fresh. We ate there for breakfast mainly.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
So many activities on the Navigator! We sailed with our 9 year old grandson and he had a blast! The arcade got a little boring by day 3, not a lot of choices there, but otherwise it was a very fun and exciting trip. Laser tag was a blast!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
On previous RCCL sailings I’ve come to expect much better entertainment offerings. While there were shows every night, I thought these were not the level we’ve come to expect from Royal.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our grandson has a great time in Adventure Ocean and the staff was well trained, friendly, and outgoing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The main dining room staff was excellent and made sure our grandson’s food allergies were taken care of so he didn’t need to worry. They went out of their way for us!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship! One of the hot tubs was out of order and the pool heater was not working so that made the other hot tubs very crowded. Otherwise the public areas are very well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was great. With the couch folded in we had plenty of space for three.

Ship tip

If you plan on spending a lot of time in the hot tubs, be prepared for crowds until they get the other equipment repaired.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was very easy. We carried off our own bags and made it to LAX with plenty of time for our 11:00 am flight home. I wouldn’t recommend flying that early out of LAX, but we had no other choice this time and made it work.
