Review summary

This was our first Christmas cruise and it was fun.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
We boarded in Miami at RCI’s older terminal (I believe). The signs were confusing and we had no idea where to go. Once we figured it out and got in the right line to wait in it took forever to get on! I’m sure it was just my impatience and excitement to get on the ship but it felt like a long time of waiting around.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room options weren’t as great as other cruise lines/ships I’ve been on.

Onboard Activities

I wish there were was a nice water park on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

We stayed in the promenade view interior room. It was fun to watch the activities going on from our room. Only downside for us was that we had a speaker outside our room and at night they blasted music until 10/1030. We were in room 8275. I would stay in a promenade room again as long as it is further away from the stage area that people perform on in the promenade

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Labadee is beautiful, we rented a beach bed cabana and it was awesome!

Oranjestad, Aruba

We visited a beautiful beach!

Willemstad, Curacao

If I visit this port again I would like to visit the little town. We only drove past it on our tour. We visited a curaçao liquor factory then headed to mambo beach. Mambo beach is beautiful but on a busy day it is insane! There weren’t any seats left for us it was very frustrating. I wouldn’t suggest coming here unless you arrive early and get some beach chairs.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

Absolutely stunning island. My favorite port on this trip. We went to Delfins resort and relaxed by the beach. We also had a delicious lunch. The pool at Delfins is wonderful, I would highly suggest coming to this resort for the day.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
I imagine our disembarkation was poor due to the government shutdown. It was incredibly annoying to get kicked out of our room just to have to go downstairs and wait in a line for 2 hours.

Sailing in Dec is fun. Love the holiday decor in the sand not snow.
