Review summary

I love a good, dignified and delicious meal, none of which I was met with on this nine day cruise. This ship was supposidley retrofitted and done over in February to the tune of $115 million. I didnt see it except for the new pool concept and slides that were added. The cabins were old and in our case smelly. No upgrade here. I believe that this ship in the future is to be used for only 3 and 4 day cruises and that they probably figure the low end cruisers dont care about the food. I'll never go on a RCL ship again even though I will and have sailed with Celebrity many times.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Waited in a tiny room for over an hour

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
First time in over 35 cruises that I did not look forward to dinner. Crappiest excuse for fine cuisine that I have ever seen or eaten. So bad that the last four dinners we went to the Lido deck and ate. But then again Lido deck was not very special. For this reason I will not go back with RCL, instead prefer Princess, Celebrity and even Holland America. Two and a half hours to eat horrible meals just turns me off and my stomach sour.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Bars, shows, activities were good

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Stephanie Parker and the comedian were very good

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
service was good

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
liked the older ship and especially the prominade

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Decent size and larger than on some newer ships but smelled like older cabins do on older ships, musty and moldy.

Ship tip

If one of your reasons for going is to enjoy fine meals, dont go. This slop they served day in and day out was atrocious.

Sounds like someone is a little bit bitter they didn’t get an upgrade.....clearly something else happened on the trip to upset you. A smelly room shouldn’t upset you since if utilizing all the ship has to offer then you hardly spend any time in said smelly room.

Oh wow, I find any Cruise day is better than work. Food is subjective. Smelly room? You let anyone know as they take it serious. We were compensated far beyond what happened.

You say you’ve been on 35 cruises but you only have five listed... 🤔
