Review summary

9 days was perfect - I really like the first day at sea, then a stop, another day at sea, then several days of stops and ending with 2 days at sea before returning home.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Being a gold member - I would have thought that being a member would have afforded a quicker embarkation process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Our waitress Deandra was excellent. Garret who was still learning - definitely learned quite a bit by the end of the cruise.

Boleros Lounge

3 out of 5

It was great until the band came in and then too loud to have a conversation.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The shops were lacking and the prices were much more expensive than previous ships. The wave pool was cool.

Solarium

4 out of 5

This would have been better if you could find seats.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The gentleman guitar player and singer in Two Poets was excellent.

Royal Theater

3 out of 5

The late night comedian was very good. The shows were average. Believe or not, Carnival has better shows.

Service and Staff

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bed was too hard and no matter how many mattress foams they put on it, it still wasn't comfortable. The a/c wasn't cooling enough and we had to keep balcony door open just to be cooler and try and sleep. This by far was the worst sleeping I have ever done on a cruise. If I got 2 hours of sleep a night, I was lucky.

Ship tip

Make sure you get a room with comfortable bed and a/c that works correctly.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

We only drove in to board the ship.

This was relaxing port - glad the food and beverages were part of the ship plan.

Willemstad, Curacao

Love Curacao - the amount of time in the city was great.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
What a cool quaint little town. The snorkeling was excellent. We did our own excursion.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
This is a very nice port. Would've like a bit more time in this port to explore more. The Eagle Beach very nice.

Disembarkation

Very difficult to figure out where to go when you are doing self check out.
