Review summary

The Ship is definitely starting to show its age, and our balcony room did not feel very clean. Our room steward was grood and kept room freshened up during the14 day cruise. There was NOT near enough to do on the 8 sea days, and the entertainment was the worst I have seen in my lifetime of cruising! Evening shows were extremely low budget and were the worst we have ever seen on royal! Ice show was Great but they don't require tickets anymore and it was a Mad rush to get seats! Their are 3,100 people on the ship and studio B holds 400!!, Incredibly poor planning on royals part! Main dining room food was good and our waiters were Great! Food in the windjammer was good for breakfast but seriously lacking for lunch! Lunch menu was almost the same for the entire 14 day cruise and very limited in options! Late night food was non existent as the only place open after 9pm was the pathetic cafe! Everywhere you go you are plegged with crew trying to Up-Sell you something, and by day 2 you are sick of it! Afternoon activities especially with the 8 sea days were all but non existent, they should have at least played some new release movies in the theater like they did in the past. The Cruise was definitely geared towards the 50-80 year old crowd.  All in all the cruise was not on par with what we've seen in the past.

we cruised on the Navigator last year and i found she was a friendly cosy not over the top ship. Yes a few bits here and there looks a bit worn. VERY friendly and as for the ice skating, it stated on the compass by deck number what day you could see the show....so that everybody gets a chance. Food was wonderful. Entertainment was varied...but i enjoyed it. During sea days we just chilled and relaxed. We had youngsters on our ship, couples of all ages. Again a varied age range. Wont hesitate to go on her again.

Been on the NofS twice 6 night, and in March for a 9 night, of course its getting older doesn't anyone pour over reviews and YouTube videos before booking anymore?. I've cruised enough we don't go to shows anymore so can't comment, only thing we felt lagging was Food options. Windjammer needs to change it up some, Dining room average, nothing to blow you away but good. Overall the ship is fine. I guess I'm a little simpler than some, I don't need activities to vacation, just enjoy the atmosphere, ocean, and my cell phone NOT ringing for work constantly! lol... I love the longer cruises but these ships do best with 7nights...

We did a 5-day Navigator cruise in the Caribbean with perfect weather. However by day 4.5 it was starting to get a bit old in routine. We had done and seen everything we wanted to on the ship. I absolutely loved our balcony and could (and did) spend a lot of time on it relaxing in the sun.

Did navigator last year from Southampton, daytime activities were lacking, dining room excellent but windjammer at lunch and dinner not that good, same food most days, had 2 days sailing it was OK at the start but the 2 days before arriving back in Southampton were terrible, nothing to do, weather not that great so nowhere to sit inside ended up staying in the cabin, shops weren't that great onboard. Having said that I still enjoyed it but think it was a mistake putting more cabins in at the expense of seating areas, night time forget it if you didn't have a seat by 7 you couldn't get one. trying the Jewel next time.

I was on the Navigator of the Seas the end of March this year and had an absolutely wonderful time!!! There were so many activities to choose from!!!! And the food was fantastic!!! Sorry you didn't have a good experience but remember most people who do a transatlantic cruise are older so maybe next time don't do that time of cruise

we were on the navigator last yr and had an absolute ball. Yes I agree she's an older girl, But i'll take a voyager class or a freedom class of ship over the likes of the oasis class any day.

Absolutely I've been on the Allure twice and can't find anything I didn't like. SO much to do and see. Very lovely ship

Uk - my first cruise was on the Navigator 2 years ago. I was very happy with my experience however I had nothing else to compare it to. After cruising on the Allure this summer, I may have higher expectations!

No just an older ship. We are used to more modern, updated ship.

Reading too many reviews like this and beginning to wish I hadn't booked :( Had such a lovely time last time with P&O. Seems like we should prepare for disappointment on Navigator! Is it really that bad??

Sounds like the Serenade of the Seas. We went for 11 days in March and NO promenade. Not up to RC standards

We were in it for 9 days in March and felt the same way. We enjoyed being on vacay, but will never do the Nav. again. I know some people like it, but it definitely is not for us.
