Review summary

My husband and I booked an excursion from the desk on the ship to do the Dolphin Encounter with lunch and beach break in Cozumel on January 18, 2017.  We went   into the water and we stood on a metal grate that had algae on the bottom of the grate and up along a fence where we stood.  Later that day and the next day I started getting a rash on my feet, legs and my back due to this fungus.   On the shore excursion sheets that was delivered to our room for 3 nights said the same thing for excursion which read Kiss, Swim and get pushed & pulled across the water.  We did not get that.  Just a kiss.  It was very boring and this was on my bucket list.   Next day we went to the desk and was told that it was a mis print but the excursion sheets that were sent to our room for 3 days had exactly the same for 3 days no changes.   We got money off but that was not what we wanted we wanted to swim, and get pushed and pulled with them.  Was very disappointed that we did not get what we originally paid for.  Also on the boat there was not a lot of entertainment during the day by the pool.  No music playing or activity by the pool all day.  Just 1 1/2 hours of music and an activity.   Boring......  The entertainment at night was something that I could have seen at a club back home.   We have had more fun on other cruises that had more exciting activities and entertainment.  I will think twice about cruising with your cruise line.

You were on our ship as we were in Cozumel that same day. We took the cooking class and beach excursion at Playa Mia. I can't say enough how excellent that was! And I am not a cook! Our chef led us step-by-step through making a 3-course meal (including chocolate garnishments) which we then ate. Afterward we had beach time and it was a beautiful day out. I would do that one again.

Unless you normally get a rash from sea water you didn't get a rash from the algae. As said above its not a fungus and grows on rocks and everything else in the water. There are different types of dolphin excursions. It sounds like you weren't booked into the correct one but the only thing they could do afterward was reimburse you.

RC is great...maybe you ought to try Carnival, that MAY be more your cup of tea.

It's not the ships fault you got a rash!!! Wow!! You have some nerve!! Go sail with another cruise line because I definitely wouldn't want to run into you on a cruise!!!

You expected the ship to go back to Cozumel so you could get pushed by a dolphin? Also algae is not a fungus, maybe you are allergic to dolphins.
