Review summary

This was the third Navigator cruise for us and the third time we've had plumbing problems.   Getting up for several nights in a row and having to find a public bathroom is embarrassing; and that was just this cruise.  Another time when we were on Navigator, a serious plumbing backup forced the evacuation of all cabins forward of us.  We were stuck with the bad odors in the gangway for several days..  We are Crown & Anchor members and long time RC cruisers AND we are seniors. This is an unacceptable situation for us.  As we plan our next cruise, our family/friends and us will keep this in mind.

Even though the steward did the best he could with the plumbing situation, we still bore the brunt of it, again.

Ship tip

Navigator does a lot of things well BUT our plumbing problems with the cabin as well as the disgusting "ring around the tub" situation with the large Jacuzzi in the gym makes us think twice about recommending RC again.

Please advise if you got the toilet problem fixed promptly? Was a concession given for the inconvenience like free drinks, bottle wine, or special meal venue all to try and compensate for what was a big negative to your Holiday, so redress would be good.

FYI, anyone can be a crown and anchor member. On carnival your ship shuts down in the ocean and you have to poop in bags. I think I'll stick with a smelly gangway. What level CA are you anyway?

Our room flooded twice from the water pipes in the service area next door to us. Room 8567. Everything was dealt with quickly and we got good compensation. It never put us off our cruise, just the inconvience of having to get ready in an evening with a wet carpet. We were told the ship was full so no room change available. These things happen. I would still sail RC everytime..

I am on Deck 10, Suite 1248 in August!! 😎 I have been on the NOS 3 times, from 2 different country's, and I have never had any problems... I know others that have though.

Aww that sucks. Sry to hear that. They would never hear the end of it from me.

It wasn't odor, it was pouring water through the ceiling and loss of water because they had to shut it off. It took 2 months to get the credit and I already booked on another cruisline. I can't take 2 cruises in 10 months (I sooo which I could) so the credit is most likely going to waste

I'll smell a little odor for 800 dollar refund lol. Na jkn I hope it's fixed by march 17th. Never experienced odor in my room before but have in certain parts of the ship on carnival but we have to keep in mind that this is a floating city. It happens. Live with it and sail on. But in rooms I agree with math35427...... only good smells are accepted there.

They gave me a $800 credit for our plumbing issues on this ship last April but we decided to take a break with RCL. Trying Ncl in December

I would also be interested in your cabin location. I have been on Navigator with no problems before, and going on her again in March. I know enchantment has some issues with that also. Thanks

What was your cabin number, if you don't mind me asking? I'm on Navigator in November with an aft cabin on Deck 6. I'm hoping that's well away from the area that has been having the problems.

good ti know bcuz i was thinking in that ceuise for my jan getaway but w that problem i prefer to take carnival victory

joeglo67    8 years ago

Exactly why I stay with Carnival. No Crown and Anchor entitled guests. The 1 time I tried RC was the Navigator, nice ship, entitled crowd.

Have you been located in the same area each time?
