Navigator of the Seas review

Sail Date: April 30, 2016

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The ship was great as were the staff.  My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the shows.  Our room was nice but the shower in the bathroom could have been bigger.  The food was okay; we didn't starve, that's for sure.  The islands we stopped at were nice but I could have done without the aggressive behavior of people trying to sell us services or merchandise.  We would definitely go back on this ship again.

Cabin / Stateroom
Ditch the sofa and enlarge the bathroom.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
We had no problems getting on or off quickly.
Ship Quality
With the exception of the bathroom in our stateroom (too small), the ship was lovely.
Destinations and Excursions
Islands were lovely; disappointed that we had so little time in San Juan. Also wish they had a beach excursion.
Onboard Activities
Highly recommend participating in the "Quest". We couldn't stop laughing. The shows were great too.
Service and Staff
Kelvin (our room steward) was excellent and took good care of us. The rest of the crew, especially the dining staff, were wonderful.
Food and Dining
Very clean and nice venue for dining but the food was just okay.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Basseterre, St. Kitts
The island is still developing tourist wise; if going to the beach, be aware that they charge a lot for rental of a beach umbrella.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
If going on a beach excursion, choose the one to Orient Beach that comes with lunch. The beach was awesome, food was great and our tour guide, Alex, was wonderful.

Make sure you wear shoes with good traction. The decks, especially around the pool, are very slick when wet.
