Review summary

At first, I was upset because I requested a table for 2 for dinner at booking, was told i would get it, ended in a table with 4 other people. On the 4th night, headwaiter gave us a new table. I also told the agent that im crusing due to our honeymoon and my birthday, i didnt even get a card in the room to show that the request was recognized. Beside that, the trip was ok. The ship was a little older than what I'm used to. But overall, great trip. Friendly staff

Pros: awesome entertainment and shows...

Cons: got tired of the food. Buffet cafe had a lot of food and same food everyday except taco and nachos night.

I had a birthday cake for my 80th last week on Allure. Ordered and paid for by my husband. Royal have me a $50 coupon for a facial in the spa. Requested by our TA. You get what you ask for and pay for.

Like Sarah, one of our first tasks on boarding ship is to check out the table allocation. Always request a table for 2, don't always get it automatically but a quick chat with the Maitre'D and we are usually accommodated. We like to have our dinner without having to wait for others to sit down & also can leave table at our convenience without seeming rude to other guests.

On our very first cruise there were 4 of us, we had 2 rooms next to each other, this was a linked booking, said on paperwork it was, but we were put on 2 different tables on different floors of the main dining room! it was sorted very quickly and got a table for 4. So now, we always check the dining table that we've been given as soon as we board. On our last 4 cruises we've requested a table for 4, Not once has this been done! Each time it's been a large table, we always say that we do not want a large table, we ask to be moved, and have always been moved, 2 times we were on a for tables for 4 and others were tables of 6, no one else came to those tables. we don't want to come across as anti social, but this is a family holiday, we work hard all year for, so we want to relax and spend quality time together. You only need someone at your table who is obnoxious and it would be terrible, (we've seen this on other tables). As for your birthday, this will be my 3rd birthday on board a Royal Caribbean ship, not once has the cruise line done anything, one was my 40th. I thing room upgrades are a thing of the past!! we've paid for the room to be decorated. Our room attendant did do me a lovely towel swan with silk flowers round, it once. Then each time the waiters did sing to me in the main dining room. (embarrassing).
