Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Waiters not listening to what you ask for despite giving really clear instructions. On a few different occasions of going into a restaurant for breakfast or lunch they tried to encourage us to go to the buffet instead, even though there was still circa 45 mins left of the breakfast or lunch window. On one occasion we ignored this and they were still letting other people in half an hour after we got in

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Watched 3 shows in the main theatre and by MSC standards they were actually really good. Great singers and dancers

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Really mixed bag. We had a double bed that needed splitting into two singles which was requested straight away and we were told it would be 6pm, then at 10pm this hadn't happened so we phoned to complain and we were told the staff were in a meeting. By 1am we ended up splitting the beds ourselves as we wanted to go to bed. Also found some of the staff really rude, pushing past people when we were getting off. My dad who is in a wheelchair was also pushed over a ramp on the way out by a staff member, I think the intention was to help but then my dad rolled off and went bang into the wall

Ship Quality

Love this ship

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had an adapted cabin, really spacious but the bathroom smelt of damp / didn't smell nice at all

Ship tip

It's an amazing ship, the first ship I've been on twice. The first time we had no problems and the service was great but this time round it sadly wasn't

Ports of call

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

5 out of 5
We got a 20euro bus to Bruges, was a lovely place and we made the most of it even though it was heavy rain

Southampton (London), England

4 out of 5

Cherbourg, France

4 out of 5
Ok little port, a lot of places shut as it was a Sunday. Easy to walk to yourself

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Was really quick, just the rude staff pushing past us and staff member pushing my dad into a wall that put a dampener on this
