Review summary

This was my first MSC cruise. I will definitely cruise on another one. Our stateroom was a junior suite with a walkout balcony which had lounge chaises and a table. It was very spacious. Anton kept our room and the balcony cleaned. Great variety of seasoned food. The trivia was so much fun! Loved all the shows we attended. Pools were crowded but deck 7 adult only area and the hot tubs on the Jungle deck were great!!! Overall, I would recommend this cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The food was seasoned very well. There was a pretty great variety at the restaurants as well as the buffet. Food could be warmed up if needed as well. Alcoholic beverages were reasonably priced and well made.

Trivia was probably my favorite. There were so many varieties of trivia. Pools were pretty crowded. I enjoyed the hot tubs and the adults only ares on deck 7.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Attended the comedy shows, and the musical entertainment as well. The Michael Jackson music tribute was incredible!!! Really enjoyed the Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble among others tribute. The singer that sung Nina Simone's classic was absolutely amazing!!! We danced the night away at the Rock N Roll tribute. The live musicians were great yet I really enjoyed the Ripples. They provided great variety

Service and Staff

Anton was excellent!!! He came twice a day to clean our room and provide fresh towels. Rolando was our server the first night and he great!!! 9:30pm was too late for us, so we requested 7:30pm and it was approved. Yvonne was a little off her game the second night and not much conversation or dining attention. Food arrived slowly and she would wait until her whole party was finish to serve anyone else. Evenings 3-6, Yvonne was magnificent!!! She took feedback and made our experience much better as well as the tables around us. Juliet and the other hostess made our nights by greeting us and they even sang happy birthday to my cousin again outside the restaurant.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Nice size stateroom. Our junior suite aurea had a walkout deck and seating area. Perfect to sunbathe and great conversations with our neighbors.

Ship tip

It's important to give time between those who exited and us arriving. Crew seamed pretty tired the day/night. Allowing ample time to prepare for the next arrivals would have provided a better experience for your guests. We could tell the staff was tired.t

This is the port we onboarded and exited

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Very clean and well kept island. It was a bit breezy so I enjoyed swimming for about 15 minutes. The rest of the time, we walked the island. The first day we shopped, had great Pina coladas, and enjoyed lunch.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Very chill atmosphere and good shopping available. Enjoyed the rum tastings. Enjoyed authentic Mexican dining. A bit expensive for chips and salsa but overall great food.

Cozumel, Mexico
